Of course it's her, I see her name in the background! So beautiful. I like her very much because she's a real grown up woman and not a teenager like most of the models at the moment.

Ultra-feminine and of great appeal, the outfit worn by Mariacarla Boscono has been especially selected from archival photographs for its paradigmatic up-to-dateness: it is a portrait of the model on the red carpet at the 2006 Cannes Festival for the presentation of Sofia Coppola's film, Marie Antoinette.

In 2010 the Italian supermodel was fourth place on the list of the fifty most important models in the world (models.com web site); she renewed her contract with Givenchy and was its model for the Spring/Summer 2010 campaign (Inez&Vinoodh) together with Natalia Vodianova; and she treaded the catwalks for Prada and Bottega Veneta for the first time since her debut in 1997. In the photograph she wears the feather skirt with consummate elegance.

Recreating this outfit, even by re-working it a little, is simple. The closest choice would be a feather skirt by Gianbattista Valli or Jason Wu and matching it with a top, preferably with ruches or relief decoration, plus a sizeable belt highlighting the waist. Your footwear would be sandals with wedges, for example by Fendi, or court shoes with studs as designed by Vic Matiè.

An alternative is a bodysuit and skirt in macro mesh by Dolce&Gabbana or a dress to match with a large belt, for example by Martin Margiela, plus an evening bag, and better still if it's a small beauty case, for example in lace and heart-shaped by Moschino.
