She is quite unique in comparison to most of the brazilian models around. She looks like a mix of black and native brazilian, and I don't recall seeing other girl with such features.

I completely agree, I love how you can see such a wide mix of racial backgrounds in just her face. I'm of Native Peruvian and Spanish mixed blood so seeing a model with Indian blood in her is extremely cool. But to say that all other Brazilian girls are not unique is kind of too much.

That's different than saying she doesn't look like other Brazilian girls, just models.

It's true, though. While clearly mixed, she looks strongly indigenous, which we don't see a lot of on the runway. Juana Burga is the only other recent model I can think of. Very gorgeous girl, crossing my fingers for Paris.

Maybe I worded it the wrong way - but she is unique when compared to the other Brazilian models working now. I don't think that saying that is weird or audacious in any way - who looks like her right now?

I agree, there aren't many Brazilian models with such strong indigenous features like Mariana, at least none who are walking important runways. But I don't think every other Brazilian girl working right now is less unique than her simple because of this fact.

Fingers crossed for the rest of Paris!
