I assumed since Charlize was under the perfume umbrella she's not really required to wear of the rack pieces from Dior, yes she wears some of them or some couture pieces but they're usually custom made for her and not what's shown on the runway.

BTW, is there a thread about this? I'd love to talk and know more about actresses and their contracts. There was some talk about how much LV paid Michelle Williams and that allowed her to do all these smaller films since the fashion industry got her covered financially and didn't really have to worry about doing blockbusters.

Yes, She is not really required to wear Dior RTW but she is required to wear DIor to her major events: The Met Ball, The Oscars or any big award ceremony. That's why we can see her wear other brands.

About Michelle Williams, that's also the case for most of the actresses. In Marion's case, being the face of Dior allowed her to choose the movies she wanted to be in. When you see the list of movies and the directors she worked with since "La Mome", it's kinda impressive. Thankfully the majority of those movies were successfull commercially but it's really the quality over the quantity. She is at Cannes every year, so it says a lot about her choices.

Sometimes, those fashion houses can be sponsors for the movies of their spokesperson like with Kristen Stewart.
