SI 2003 Turkey

These photos are out-takes from SI in Turkey. This was my second time shooting for SI, so I was super excited to be invited back. Nowadays, photographers use digital versus film 90% of the time, so to have Polaroids is pretty special. Here’s a photo I took of the Polaroids from one of the days shooting in Turkey.

Turkey was a very unique place and it took a very long time to get to from Cali. I flew to Istanbul, then spent the night at a hotel that looked more like a castle, and then in the morning traveled the rest of the way, which was a few hour car ride to the coastal city of Bodrum. There is so much history there and you can see it in the buildings and architecture.

In my humble opinion she is a great model who can do not just SI or VS, but other aspects of modeling as well. B)

The question is whether she wants to or not.

And of course when everyone just calls you 'Si model' or 'VS model' it becomes kind of tags/labels and its hard to prove youre MORE then that but still possible. Ive seen many different works of Marisa and surely see there a good versatility. Once I am in Anna W shoes lol Ill make sure Marisa is on the cover or in a HF ed lol

Marisa Miller was in St. Barts over the weekend on a Victoria's Secret swimwear shoot. We caught a glimpse of the supermodel on the same island earlier this year when she was joined by fellow Angel Selita Ebanks.

I really don't understand the insane amounts of hate towards her. I don't see how she's any 'worse' than the rest of VS models. Is it because she's never done high fashion? Also, I actually think she's really pretty. I'd even venture on to say that I think she'd look good in a high fashion spread. IMO, she has a better bone structure than someone like Miranda Kerr or Selita.

^ She has done high fashion---it just didn't work out for her. I thought she looked great in all the high fashion spreads she has done But obviously, those who are in the high fashion arena disagrees w/ me That was why she veered herself more towards the "commercial" route.

I actually think shes prettier than Ale [shes sexy but not the face naturally imo] although I dont want to turn it into this whose prettier whose cooler thread Thanks juliax!

It's because although she's bodacious, her face is really quite unimpressive/ordinary (I wouldn't limit this to mere bone structure). I think there might be women in relatively trashy magazines with superior complexions and facial architecture, which I can't really say is true for other VS models (that come to mind right now). I don't hate Marissa, by the way, I think she's a decent SI-type model like Bar Rafaeli.
