In conjunction with my fashionation(hehe) with Mary-kate Olsen, I was wondering if anyone has any pieces my Mark and Estel? How do they fit? Is the membership worth it? How would this stuff look on guys? Could I just make this stuff at home, and if so, how? Anything on this wacky heroin-chic line would be helpfull.

I loooove Mark and Estel! I have been obssessed with them ever since I found out Mary Kate wore their stuff. I became a member a couple months ago and I own 6 of their pieces. LOVE! The fit is perfect and the fabric is perfect. My favorite style I have is the Long Loose Tank. I wear it all the time. To bed. Under clothes. Over clothes. With jeans. It's the perfect shirt. It has that raw but really high end vibe to it.

What is your style? You would have to be very heroin chic to pull their stuff off if you are a guy. But if you are that type it would look really cool on you.

I don't know how to sew but if you do you could probably make it from scratch. Before I became a member and bought their styles I tried cutting some shirts up to look like their stuff but it just didn't work. Their stuff fits perfect, my cut up shirts just fit wrong and looked really off. But you could try it.

Anyways...as you can tell I could talk forever about them.^_^

WWD: Mark and Estel

Have you seen their latest Press?? They were put beside Marc by Marc Jacobs and Polo in WWD's Factory Girl spread...check it out..
(I have a membership to the magazine so I was able to go see the whole article on the WWD's website) LOVE EM!!

the idea is sort of cool and a couple of the sort of moth-eaten tanks are nice but I would say the majority of it is overpriced and the thing from WWD is one of the nicer pieces but I would rather make my own moth eaten paintsplattered tank than pay them $495 for it to be honest. It just not worth the money.

And paying $99 for these?

Though I will say the membership idea is quite a cool one.

i think it's just super hyped and pretty much nonsense...

wwd did a good job of making it look better...
but that tank is pretty much the only piece that really seems decent...

can you tell me the date of this issue...thanks..:flower:

Some of the simple stuff is nice for basics, I'd definately wear some of the longer shirts/tunic as a dress but absolutely no WAY for anyway near that price. It's ridiculous and the styling on the website is horrific! Hoxtonite.

Loose Tanks on Sale

Hey, Mark and Estel have a sale where all their loose tanks are on sale for $28...COOL:D

cool! ive also been wondering about mark and estel..

anybody know if their pieces are only available on the website? (or are their stores that carry some so one can try on?)

thanks! yeah..i love me those pants ;p

Los Angeles Stores

I've seen their stuff around LA alot at stores like:
Madison
Pricipessa
Hillary Rush

Also saw their stuff at Dari...

I was in Planet Blue and they said they just got their Ripped Tights in but they are not out on the shelves yet...:( They said they have a lot of colors that arn't on the website...I can't wait!!!

Some of their stuff is rather cute, but it should be $5 not $100!! I could make the same sort of thing with a sewing machine and an oversized T shirt and some acrilyc paint.

Damn, wish I was cool enough to sell a plain tank or ripped tights for $100

Well, their tanks are $28 right now...pretty reasonable (more than $98)
And God Bless them for being able to get away with it! Wish I could!
