Marlene Dietrich

You mean Portia reminds you of Marlene;) Marlene came first!
I do see a resemblance as well.

I saw a documentarie about making a museum for her, they brought a couple of trucks of her clothes shoes and acessories and her dautgher talked and went throu the entire stuff it was quite sad.She also said that the only man who left her was Jean Gabin and then she added probably the smartest!I got the felling she was quite a difficult woman, but then the best ones always are!

Celebrities: Marlene Dietrich

From Tomboy to 'Femme Fatale' MARLENE DIETRICH (1901-1992) loved all kind of clothes, anything that was original, anything that no other woman would have thought of wearinng. She wanted always to be the 'avanguard' lady in all fashions, during her official public apperances or in the making of a movie or stage and cabaret performances.
Dietrich hated fashion, she liked style and she almost designed herself most of her clothes together with designers in Paris, London and Hollywood. She knew exactly what she wanted to wear and made sure that what she was going to wear was never worn by any other actress or public figure before.
In her living room in her Paris residence, Dietrich collected all kind of fashion magazines and liked to welcome her designers to discuss the 'next thing to wear', Jean Luis was her favored deigner.
Some of her clothes that were inherited by her daughter, Maria Riva were sold to the city of Berlin together with more than 3000 personal objects.
The collection including clothes and the star's personal belongings is now part of the Berlin's Film Museum where we have taken these pictures in exclusivity.
