Marlon Brando

I don't care if he was nuts, he was one of the greatest actors of the century. Also, rowwwr. (Is there a growling-in-lust smiley? If there's not, there totally should be.)

One of the best actors of all time and the definition and epitome of cool and sexy. Which biography are you referring to?

His autobiography is called "Songs Me Mother Taught Me".

Even if you don't like Brando all that much, it's still an amusing books with lots of great stories. ^_^ I loved reading about his pet racoon Russell.

I agree, it is a really great book. I liked when he talked about acting and his his method. You can understand why he is considered a great actor, he really understood his craft.

He was so handsome, raw sexuality at its fullest:heart:

Thank you! :D

I just picked up Songs My Mother Taught Me at the library yesterday. Can't wait to start reading it!

^ :woot: Happy reading!

It's such a great experience to view things from his perspective regarding social rights, his promiscuity and all that :) I really treasure it...tell us what you think of it when you're done reading!

Half of my face looked like Marlon Brando in the Godfather last fall when I had my wisdom tooth removed... Not my best look :D

I have to read that book too!

I'm so sad right now! :(
Simplyclassics.net is down... possibley gone forever. *Tear* That site had the greatest gallery of old hollywood stars. Anyone know what happened to it?
I don't know where to go now for Brando pictures.... I guess I'll have to live by what I saved onto my computer from that site.
Other than crosscity... there isn't really any spectacular Brando galleries on the web... at least not that iv'e found.

I hope simplyclassics will come back. It was the best site for old Hollywood pictures and discussions:cry:

^ Aw Russell was so cute  I can't recall from the book what Russell did but I remember it's very funny

^^ Russell put "the coldest paw in North America" under Marlon's behind when he was sitting on the toilet!

^ Yes! And then he was put near a heater or something right? Or maybe that's a totally different story...

On another occasion, Russell somehow got into Marlon's next door neighbor's apartment and was found splashing around in the toilet. A lot of great and funny stories. I still have some more reading to do but I'm loving it.

a few scans from the book:

I want a Russell  But aren't racoons like protected animals or something?

60swildchild - Thanks for those scans! Love the ones from The Wild One, I actually have one of the pics up on my wall

^^ Where did you find that? It's not in the "video" section of the TCM site. Is there some secret section, lol.

I remember seeing that home video in the A&E doc too, it's such a cute moment.

Someone posted it in a Monty Clift community I'm part of and I rushed to post it here. I have no idea how they found it, sorry.
