I agree. I also feel like the Marni woman is getting a little more provocative every season.. the V necks are getting longer and the dresses are getting shorter.. She's getting a little sexy without being overt. Does the designer edit the collection or do they use a stylist?

the tee prints are so brainless, what's the problem they want to do this???
and the peplum are really wacky and terrifying

I like the mix of fabrics and colors, i usually hate Marni, but this isnt so bad.

This Marni collection is a lot less "quirky" than her usual, which isn't a bad thing. I reckon the peplum is an optional add-on and the outfits will look a lot more conventional without them. The colours are as usual fun and well-complemented, but overall, there aren't enough ideas here to make this much more desirable than other collections out there.

I think a mix of colours and fabrics is one of the best I've seen so far.
but I lack creativity; vintage inspiration is okay but she could have done it better... cause it looks a little bit 'random' for me.
love some shoes, hate the accessories.

one of the great disconnects with the house of marni has always lied in how quirky and mismatching-is-the-new-matching aesthetic of the most successful womenwear collection and the ultra-minimal colorblocking menswear collections. for the first time, those two aesthetics seemed to come together in a somewhat intriguing mix. however, as someone who enjoyed the previous studied undone look, this collection found itself lacking in a few critical ways. it will provide some cute new pieces -- we're just now emerging from an economic meltdown -- with which the true marni girl could update her current wardrobe.

If designers are reaching back into their repetoire and refreshening their tried and true, then this collection feels more like a hack job of the "Marni quirk" rather than a real attempt to readdress their brand DNA. It's all very Marni, no doubt about that, but in a way that is painfully predictable. Marni-isms.

I really like the textiles and the color palette. From side angled views, it looks pretty good. But from a straight on view, the clothes make the models look dumpy. How are people without model proportions going to look in this?
