No, he wanted him out, i think the fact that Renzo couldnt find a good replacement it is he decided to keep him in Marni...i guess he is ok having Aw support...honestly i dont know how much they are selling,etc...i think they do better business in Japan and with american artists,rappers,etc

There was a recent financial report regarding OTB, and Risso was congratulated for reaching 1 million euros in sales across 4 years worth of performance.
It's kind of insane that Meiers at Jil were able to be at a loss for the last 4 years and Risso at Marni only 1 million across 4 years, whilst he is putting the weight on Glenn's shoulder to make Margiela reach 1 billion euros.

It really is the antithesis of what the brand is about at its core. Of course the man himself isn’t there anymore, still it is hard to envision Margiela as something taking in billions. It’s still too niche to really accomplish that.

Hell, the Tabi goes through ebbs and flows of popularity. It’s hot now only coz of the Louboutin collection, but prior it is was fine because of tik tok, then underground, then hot when the fashion ninja look was a thing…

Renzo has such a peculiar but interesting mix of labels, he really doesn’t know how to harness them well. I’d say some could be earning half a billion had he played his cards right. Marni could have been a potential Italian leather power house for the group but it’s just pulling jokers at this point. Jil Sander could be a wardrobe staple megalomania but these horrid appointments have been yielding nothing but cracked eggs and wasted resources. Renzo seems to still like the idea of “good on paper, bad in bed” holdings which leads to a bit of confusion.

It is so strange… don’t wanna sound harsh but Marni just seems like an asylum where Risso lets loose and does whatever he wants. It really needs a change
