does anyone know what those round things are made of on the necklaces? they are also on the shoes sometimes. they seem to be like a kind of plastic...?
As of course, I loved it. I thought it was very beachy and I loved the quirky, geometrical shapes Consuelo used for the acessories. I heart the coat that Carmen was wearing when she first came out on the runway for the show.

I went into Bergdorf's today and I tried on alot of the S/S 06 collection. I felt amazing. I love the way the dresses fit. And then I had to put my normal clothes back on...talk about the Cinderella syndrome.
I think the decorations she uses in this collection are really interesting. And the design really does look African, as people say.
1st photo - I like the kind of coarse texture of this coat. I wonder what kind of fabric/weave it is! (the Pivovarova model here was also fun to watch on the runway)
Does anyone also know the stylist (or other designer--I think she said she also assists her in choosing prints) that works with Consuela? I remember that she looks just like a person from Marni, with her tanned skin and dry wind-blown hair... she was blonde with light eyes and an English accent, as I remember from the t.v.
I usually adore Marni, but this collection was a bit of a disappointment. It looked like it was still doing the past seasons, which isn't always bad but in this case is. The colours are too heavy and the clothes are too hangy. It's a very "confusing" collection, I liked their 06-07 f/w collection more. However, I thought this dress on Elise was
its amazing how directional marni collections are.. have a close look at the look runner posted and then draw the link between this jacket and the 'new' jacket shapes for fw0607..
^^^ Lena - ohhhhh - I say get yourself one next time you are in Paris.
....I agree on Marni being really influential. all the swingy jackets that have been around the last couple of seasons were done by Marni in 2003. I am sooooo excited about the winter collection.
