gorgeous! I love the black dress with the double straps, the navy coat with the beautiful neckline, and the grey dress in the last picture. It is understated, yet so elegant!

hmm...
Some pieces are a tad too plain/conservative-looking imo, however there's an elegance about them that makes me like it anyway.
Thanks for posting all these pictures Scott :flower:

here is a real designer, period.

his clothes are not innovative but he seems clearly to be making and effort to get his clothes to fit properly, to be well made and most of all you can definitely see that he has a specific viewpoint about what fashion means to him.

Lovely ... well done.

I have a feeling that double-strapped dress will be worn to a raveling by all who buy it, and then tears will be shed.

Tres chic.

Precisely why we've all been praising this guy,Zamb. No,he's not innovative, but he executes everything so beautifully(much like an Alber Elbaz) and he's genuine...it's no gimmick his collections-his work has alot of soul despite it being so simple.

But I adore these silhouettes so much. They're actually pretty easy to mix, even into an otherwise off-beat wardrobe...anybody can wear this stuff.

i love most of these pieces, i think they're all nice in their own way, the cut looks amazing from what i can see, and the blue skirt in the first post is just something i'd definitely kill for :p .

and ciara. :ninja:

It's ncie and pretty, btu boring. I don't really understand the hype around him, yes it's pretty and well tailored, and I think he is better than Prada and all off thous American designers but not that much ,it's still this same old idea of what is classic and good taste.

^omg....I so thought about Purple when I posted that Ciara pic in the black dress! Her favourite model...and it's very Audrey Hepburn :D

it is by no means boring, there is a certain "artistry and skill" needed to produce well made clothes today that is seriously lacking in todays fashion industry among young smaller designers. and it is refreshing and interesting to see him do that (i try, and i can honestly say his work, qualitywise is superior to mine) take for example the black coat,

the collar is not too big where the models neck looks tiny or her shoulders too narrow.
the shoulder is actually on the models natural shoulder line, therefore it doesnt look saggy or "claude montanaesque eighties"

the neckline is not too far down where the models cleavage is exposed so she has to wear a tank/camisole to cover herself. If the wearer wants to show cleavage all she has to do is loosen the top button
the hemline is not too short where when you sit you have to be concerned that your underwear maybe showing if your legs are not crossed
the hemline is not too long to midcalf where the coat becomes matronly
the sleeves are not tooshort or totall where you are wondering if its really a three quarter lenght or the models arms are too long. and i could say a lot more, but another time.
i would take these elements from a designer anyday as these things do take a lot of thought, an eye for proportion and great skill.I am all for innovation and i firmly believe in the Avant Garde, but when stupid clothes are made by designers who have no idea how to cut or to express themselves through clothing in an intelligent way i wonder why ppl bother to support them

^agreed. That's one of the reasons I fell madly in love with Belgian designers.

Please do not tell me it is not boring if I think i is borign you can not impose your feelings onto me:rolleyes: .

:p :woot: :boxer: :boxer: :boxer:

by no means am i trying to impose my feelings onto you,all im trying to do is state my perspective and share it with you,
at the end of the day ppls appreciation of something is left (to a large degree) to thier personal taste AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT I CAN RESPECT.
you must'nt take things so seriously after all "its just clothes man"

:flower:  :flower:  :flower:

I love Martin for his great cutting skills. It's not overloaded with innovating creativity but that's not even what I wish for anymore after seeing those skirts and the dress/coat (2nd) in #2 :crush: Of course it seems boring when you're always demanding avant garde.

Um...yeah, but doesn't that make him simply a very very good tailor?

I am of the camp that thinks to qualify as a designer, you need to design and innovate, not just execute basic tailoring really well.

I like it ... the designer produced some very wearable separates... but it is kind of boring
