DISTRESSED BOOTS
100% leather / brown, line 22 comes a side zip short boots with damage treatment in the sole and the lower side of the boots.
made in italy,
price....$844 :D ok it's leather, maybe handmade by the same margiela...or used by himself:D

  I don't think so...whatever, for me these boots are overpriced

i think that a lot of us are creative people who could and would distress and destroy stuff ourselves...

but i know a lot of very busy people who don't have the time, energy or creativity to do this themselves and would happily pay to have it done by some designer...
prividing the quality is top notch...which it usually is with margiela...

i tried on a pr of pumps from the first season he started doing hard shoes in the london store and i can tell you that they were incredible...

and they were already sold out of the size that i really needed...
plain black pumps for $675 or so...
but you would have them for a lifetime...

**that's the difference...
it's not 'trendy'...
so it lasts longer and is therefore a better investment in the long run...

so say i...^_^

I take this part of yours dear and I always appreciate your comments :flower:

trendy or not I used to wear clothes and shoes from 10 years ago and keep them for a lifetime

oh yes...me too...
but i don't think i really buy 'trendy' stuff...

*although if you keep something long enough...
it eventually becomes trendy, i find...
...funny that....

^yeah, that's true!!
also when you're wearing something you got years and years ago and make people ask you about it, like it was new

and you know what I love to do the customizations by my own, that's why I didn't accept the boots like this, I mean I would like to take this effect wearing them by myself :P

So true! According to my Dad, he's fashionable every 10 years

I love to wear clothes of my dad...some of the stuff I can fit in, like jackets and striped polos

And I...

You can buy totally classic styles and they will last a lifetime, but you can also buy edgier, more interesting stuff that is not "mainstream trendy" and have those pieces last a lifetime as well...! They might show their age, but if they were never overexposed they're more vintage than soooo last yearish... Sort of.

I hope I make sense.
