What would Bob Saget say about this? Mary-Kate Olsen, who shared the role of Michelle with her twin sister, Ashley, on the '80s comedy "Full House," has dropped out of college, early in her sophomore year, according to a published report.

"Mary-Kate Olsen has taken an approved leave of absence from New York University to focus on her increasing responsibilities as co-president of Dualstar Entertainment Group and to pursue personal interests," her publicist, Michael Pagnotta, was quoted on People magazine's Web site Friday. Olsen's twin sister, Ashley, also co-president of Dualstar, will remain at NYU.

A message to the publicist from The Associated Press wasn't immediately returned Friday.

Mary-Kate, 19, spent six weeks at a treatment center for an eating disorder in summer 2004.

Since starting out as babies on "Full House" Saget played their father the twins have created a multimedia empire with a clothing line, feature films, direct-to-video movies and other merchandise. Mary-Kate, a brunette, and Ashley, who is blond, became co-presidents of Dualstar when they turned 18. Each is estimated to be worth more than $150 million.

^ like.. they are hardly there (physically). sometimes i think they're taking an online course or something. LOL

YAY NYU! --the hippest uni ...that's so TRUE!

getting an approved leave of absence is not the same as dropped-out...

I think the term "approved leave of absense" in this case is more likely a glorified term for dropping out. not suprised though

why do they ALWAYS have to mention theyre both ''worth'' 150 millions$ each... as though they're some objects..... objects are worth money, not human!!!

^^ because how often do Twins each worth that much, for that matter.

Im very sorry, maybe i should have put 'mary kate gets an approved leave of absense from nyu'. talk about denotations and connotions

its like withdrawing from the university... you have to get it approved, but when you go back to school you have to apply for re-admission and get the dean's signature.... it is just like dropping out, because you don't have to go back... but it means you left school on good terms (good grades, not on academic probation)

It's quite fun seeing if anyone actually reads the top line I think...

the top line of the article, such as the part when it says: What would Bob Saget say about this?

guess school was too much to handle and what does 'approved leave of absense from nyu' mean anyway:innocent:

^^ maybe its a nicer way of saying she decided to drop out, so she recieved approval from the principal. definetly a denotation rather than a connotation

man, i wish i had the money to drop out of university. i am barely learning anything USEFUL there.
