Mary Katrantzou F/W 13.14 London

Some cool prints; I like that sort of black-on-black tree branch print. Some different shapes around the sleeve area though; be interesting to see if those cuts will be toned down for retail.

^ i'm also interested to see how this will be modified for sale. it's so unique and different and I love Mary but some of the cuts aren't working for me this season.

look 5 with that layered dress! *Squeal*

Mary Katrantzou is the only designer really trying to make something new. Shes not relying on the prints and instead she is creating new cuts and shapes that may be a little too strange sometimes, but at least she is taking risks. I love her for that!

Some nice prints but I prefer last season, some of the shapes are just ridiculous.

this is soo perfect, so melancholic. I think she definitely taking it to another level this those prints and shapes. Amazing....

As always I'm a huge fan of the prints, but I agree that some cuts are ridiculous and unwearable.
The hair & makeup is insanely hideous in my eyes.

I love the new evolution of her brand here, the change of mood being more sombre works successfully in this collection.

im torn between loving and hating this. i really really like the prints this time around, and there's a lot of interestingly constructed dresses / outfits here and there.
there's also an abundance of terribly awkward and unflattering shapes though, so i can't really love this.

This just goes to show that she is not a 'designer'.....she can do quite good prints, but this is not good....

I remember Anna Wintour saying "Not feeling colour, Stefano?", with raised eyebrow, to YSL's Stefano Pilati, when presented with his new monochrome designs.

thats what I felt at first sight.Mary Katrantzou's so colourful significant designs gone? grays and blacks are very 50shades. Though, loved the pieces, good collection. I love LFW.

My favorite Mary collection is some time. Love that she went to a more sober path and focused on silhouette and structure rather than going crazy on bold prints yet not leaving them behind.
