For a fashion model, it is not more major than being in US Vogue but being in the US or UK editions of GQ is pretty major. Unless it is another cover, being in Russian Vogue or another Vogue at that level is absolutely great but it is maintaining the status quo, yet being featured prominently in GQ, presumably it will be in an ed with other male models or a celeb, shows another side of Maryna; or actually it shows a side that was on display during the early part of her career and in recent eds with her boyfriend, IIRC one of her VI eds with Meisel was with a guy and also her ed in US Vogue was with a male celeb. Not to read too much into this one situation, but hypothetically the way something like this can play out is that if in the future a big design house hires an A-lister to be the face of its fragrance and needs a model to be "the girl," an ed in a men's magazine may be a plus for a model under consideration for that booking. As I stated previously, in Maryna's case it represents a new frontier and audience for her, and while shooting with any top photographer is always a good thing, a shoot that also puts her versatility on display is even better.
