you're welcome unspoiledbird, wiw
thanks Mullet for the video

softgrey, it's brass. it comes with a white leather belt,
like a two stranded belt.
the brass chain is detachable, and can be worn by itself around the waist or the neck.
it might look fragile in the pic, but it's the type you don't have to be afraid of damaging by rough handling.
if anything, it can be a little weapon such as the black porcelain beaded necklace.
so you'd have to be a bit careful not to damage yourself.
it's not any collaboration thing.
it might make a different impression on you in person from lisa levine's work.
some buddhist fittings/decorative art was what came into my mind.
anyway it's something dignified and cool.

thanks so much for the pictures runner! and the video mullet!

this is so beautiful and completely wearable. i love the shawl like sweaters and the little sweater with the crack print in the front.

i love and want all of those pieces, the rust jacket is beautiful! The presentation is great too, so simple.

this belt sounds really cool...
a white belt is really cool and with the detachable brass chain, even better...
but the sound of it being so heavy makes me think it is not so easy to wear as a necklace...:ninja:
if it is anything like the black porcelain necklace...
then it would have to be reserved for very special occasions...
and not for 'everyday' use...

buddhist fittings/decorative art-
this DOES sound very dignified and cool..

dignified is a good word...
it's not something i often hear people mention...
especially in describing fashion...
but it is a good thing to aspire to..
dressing in a dignified manner...

:flower:

Great new images, runner
I'm curious what buddhist decorations mean
The fittings certainly makes sense

Here is the concept for the collection from their website
"Shino" is the name of a style of pottery known by its unique, original sense of beauty typical of late 16th century in Japan. The surface of the pottery is distinguished by an ivory and blue-grey glaze with brush work strokes of rusted iron , elegant distortion and a colour that hints at the green tea which is its perfect complement.
matohu has sought to re-enact these elements in its new collections. Some of our nagagi-dresses were actually drawn by using real iron rust prints.
By breathing these elements into our work we discover an accidental beauty where nature and artifice suffuse.

there's one danger though
don't spill citric acid (like lemon juice) on it
because it will bleach the iron ^_^
