There are hardly any models for whom I'd have the same enthusiasm as I once had.
Models today don't have the same 'apprenticeships' that saw them work for years at a lower level (or in other markets) where they would hone their skills, or get the chance to work with someone who would see their potential and bring it out over time, before they moved up to get the big contracts.
These days, it feels like the only professionals honing anyone's potential are the plastic surgeons.
Added to that, magazine shoots and ad campaigns are now usually so one-dimensional - "optimised for the internet" - that it doesn't demand excellence from anyone involved, so it would probably be a waste to have someone on the level of Meisel-era Linda Evangelista in front of the (digital) camera.
