Max Mara S/S 2022 : Anok Yai, Loli Bahia, Vittoria Ceretti & Yilan Hua by Steven Meisel

Terrible campaign, it seems like Meisel still keeping on his "comfort zone" to shoot any editorial or campaign (except Zara) on the studio. Also, Vittoria looks older with the blond hair.

This is really bad coming from Meisel and yes, Vitto unfortunately looks really old with blonde hair

this last shot looks so much better! all models look good despite those clothes.

The blonde is so wrong on her. It’s not working. The tone is wrong, and honestly, more than the color, the cut is horrible.

If they wanted to go blonde and do a transformation, they honestly should have just done a Mariacarla Fall 2006 chop and bleach. Which could have actually worked on Vittoria. A little blonde pixie would have been much more interesting and attractive than this lifeless mom cut.

I don't get the dislike. All I see is a rather stunning Max Mara campaign, certainly better than the last few ones with the Hadids for instance. Yes it's basic, but it's Meisel basic which I've always liked.
And if we're talking bad hair, I actually find Yilan Hua's cut and styling actually more problematic.

My only problem is no Precious Lee!! Fashion can't be over her already?

A video up on Max Mara's Instagram to coincide with the campaign has so much energy, movement and life while the print campaign feels completely flat and lackluster - I'm dumbfounded:

The video is kinda dated (and tacky, lol) but there's ENERGY on it. The photos give me no emotion at all.

Reminds me of to the Chanel campaigns of the late Karl Lagerfeld. I like the warm tones. Carine didn't styled this?

Meisel has become so lazy...like what is this:ninja: I kinda like the video though...

The only campaign images I'm able to tolerate are the ones cropped a little closer (like the one of Vittoria Ceretti wearing the navy outfit in #25). There's just no life, movement or pizazz radiating from the full-length images.

The video lifts the mood of the campaign somewhat but it's a real shame the energy failed to translate into the print campaign. There's just zero cohesion throughout and I'm still getting more Giampaolo Sgura from this as opposed to Steven Meisel.
