It will also be interesting to see what they do with Natasha and Anja... I went through the icons list and can't believe I never realized that Hilary Rhoda isn't on there lol. But then again if they don't have Karolina Kurkova... Arghh when it comes to MDC I just can't!!

they had kk be4 but removed her when she was absent from the industry for a while. hilary rhoda will never get on the icon list. there way too many girls ahead of her.

she never have a BIG campaign besides EL. and her covers and editorial works are not impressive. everythign about hilary rhoda is just mediocre. she is a beautiful girl and a good model but not a great one.

i would love to see stam on the icon list. i think stam deserves to be in the icon list. she has been on covers of all the major vogues and her advertising work is very strong.

now she has cover girl, swarovski, and mercedes...........they should definitely put her in the icon list.

Anyway i think Natasha, Jessica Stam & Lara Stone should get to the icon list, they are iconic for me! Natasha's the Gucci girl. She had 11 campaigns for the brand (7 OG) & she had 7 Vogue Paris Cover and 1 Vogue USA!! She needs the icon spot soon. Jessica was a Meisel favourite, she had the 4 big Vogue Cover (Italia, Paris, UK, USA) & Lara because she's Lara , with her CK contract, she had a lot of major things this past years

LOL calm down!!! I never said that Karlie is the next Gisele as I'm fully aware that there is only ONE Gisele and that is... GISELE!!! I said she seem to be going the DIRECTION of Gisele. As in doing both HF AND VS. Whether you like it or not, Karlie's personality is very welcoming and i could very well see VS embracing her as well as her supporters in the HF world continuing.

Stam & Hilary as icons!?!?! You guys must be joking. Stam is completely irrelevant to HF these days. She is doing very well commercially & deserves to be on the money girls list, but she is not getting enough A-list work to be on the icons list. Hilary is even further from the list. All she does is EL, and that recent MaxMara campaign. Her other work isn't enough to be considered iconic. KK on the hand deserves her spot back. Lara should join her.

Oh, and although I find Karlie & Joan's work on the same level of prestige, the quantity if Karlie's work lately has been outnumbering Joan's- possible VS contract, Vogue Geremany, VI, etc. Karlie is getting more work than Joan, atm. I am starting to believe that Karlie is definitely the next #1, although Joan is going to be the campaign queen this season. Karlie simply has what Joan doesn't- the covers.

Sorry for the confusion, but I was talking about the campaign queen of the top 50, not competing against icons.

I don't think anyone in the top 50 will beat EL, Chanel, Pirelli Calendar, & Gucci(I know she isn't confirmed yet, but most would agree that she will probably get it). Karlie will be #1 though because she will probably have VS & Dior at the same time.

At the moment i think Karlie and Arizona are the top contenders because they both are neck to neck scoring campaigns, covers and monthly eds in Vogue Us, Paris, UK and Italia...and then comes Freja who has been a campaign queen and cover for a long time but has slow down and then Joan who has a great campaign resume...

now Arizona has covers,but Joan has EL much more hard to get then covers. so EL is really what is putting Joan in front of Arizona IMO.

lets see who get things faster.
Joan getting covers or Arizona getting a Beauty contract.

i think that Arizona is being a little overrated, she's got many campaigns in the last few seasons but the really big ones are only Prada and YSL, maybe Chloé.. Joan's big campaigns are Gucci (twice), Givenchy, Cavalli, and EL and Chanel that are really major especially for a black latina!
Arizona's no. 7 is right because all her work has taken her that high and i think now we should only consider her S/S 12 campaigns and her more recent print work to think in moving her up, also the top 5 have more quality work than her and Liu Wen and Constance have the EL contract so her spot is ok imo

about Karlie moving up.. that's a big sign, they seem to be setting her for no. 1

How is the Pirelli calendar a campaign? I think Joan needs to prove herself/her longevity more before she can gain the number one status.

^MDC has the Pirelli Calendar labeled as "advertisement", and it count towards a model's campaign list, so I consider it to be a campaign if MDC does. I don't think Joan has a chance at #1 anymore, especially since they bumped Karlie up a spot, but I still think that Joan will have a better campaign season. I'm happy for Karlie, though. She has been in the game for a while and she deserves the spot.

Yes Joan n Arizonayuk might be getting more work than some of the other girls.but still they cant be In the league that Sasha,Natasha,Anja,freja are.

That's what I'm trying to say. Sasha , Natasha , Anja , Freja they have left marks on the fashion industry for a prolonged period of time. They have always been working consistently and are very exclusive models that are synonymous with the word 'top model' .. they haven't just scored a lot of campaigns at one point.. to only fade away later on. These girls have done a majority of the prestigious jobs and have had continuous industry support. They are iconic in their own ways because they have maintained their position int he industry for so long that to place a girl like Arizona above them would be insulting.
