There's no comparison to be made because Joan is mixed race and will never have the same advantages white models have in the industry. Still, she has Estee Lauder now and a few big brands behind her. That's incredibly huge for a non=white model and you can keep on wishing she'll fall off

the race for next year number 1 spot will be between anja and freja. karlie and sasha are losing momentum. abbey got a good shot at number 3. constance will be moving to the top 5 very soon. i guess we have to wait until the fall/winter campaign season by then we will have a clearer image of the ranking.

I don't think Karlie is losing momentum... she didn't walk that many shows this year because of choice. while she isn't getting as many editorials... maybe that's by choice too? she did snag Dior, DK, and ODLR... all great campaigns. She's also in Vogue US every month... plus editorials in other magazines...

I think she'll keep moving up from here. I agree, though, that the main decider will be FW campaign season. I have a feeling we'll see some surprises. Hopefully Abbey loses momentum, I'm getting tired of her new look.

Opinions of the current list:
Jamie, Eniko, Miranda, Anna de Rijk, Dree, Lily, Maryna, and Catherine should be lowered or taken off.

Edita, Liu, Sigrid, Karmen, Jacquelyn, and Heidi Mount should be moved up.

OMG. Finally! Barbie totally deserves it! I mean she has been modeling since forever... talk about longevity! It's about time she bag numero uno. She deserves the #1 on the icon list, imo.

going through the this thread i have to ask this... Why all the hate on Chanel Iman?? I'm not a huge fan of hers but i can really appreciate the work that this girl is doing. She started off so young and you can see quite clearly that she does not have the support that the other girls have from those in the industry who have influence. She's also balancing commercial work with HF so personally i'd rank her higher than some people on that list. Maybe not the top 10 or 20 but higher than where she is now. After reading many postings about her, i've found that people just hate on the girl with no real reason to do so...in that case that makes you someone who's just pathetic and can't contain your jealousy. Just my 2 cents
