Whenever I go looking for a pair of jeans, I always notice that womens cuts are always so much nicer.

As a guy, I think there should be jeans that show off our natural curves and shapes. (Whatever that may be)

I'm sick of denim that is cut poorly. When is the last time you saw a pair of jeans for women with 10 or 12 inch rise.

Blagh

A 10 inch rise doesn't flatter anyone's ***es - especially a guy's.

I want ultra low (5 or 6 ) inch rise in guys jeans. I've become so desperate in trying to find a good pair of guys jeans, that I'm almost tempted to go try on a pair of ultra low Seven's for women

Any suggestions?

buy women's jeans.... they are cut better and more flattering...

that's all i buy now, men's jeans just do not fit period...

Buy women's! My exboyfriend and and my friend who is a boy swear by women's pants. So many people do it now, so don't worry about funny looks from the salespeople

Ya I sometimes buy womens but the only problem is the back pockets are cust smaller ( to make their butts look smaller  ) so they wont always look right from the back, I recently invested in a few Dior Homme jeans that i bought durring their spring sale, They are always on Ebay and come in 2 versions, the ultra slim cut with an ankle opening of like 17 inches and a regular version with a 20" ankle opening. good luck

I posted a few pics below to take a look yourself

Actually slightly bigger pockets put on a certain angle are usually on high ended woman's jeans because it is that that make your bum look smaller. Guys don't really have curves (ie. wide hips) so some woman's jeans that are cut with room for hips won't fit very well. Also men generally have larger thighs so some woman's jeans won't fit as well if you have larger thighs (though I found Chip and Pepper to be good in the thigh area). I also believe Helmut Lang makes very slim cut men's jeans.

I agree with everything said so far. I get so frustrated with jeans, it's ridiculous. Women's jeans are definitely a great alternative, especially since women's jeans (and all other women's clothing) tend to be more unique and cool than men's anyway. Mehg is definitely right about the hips and everything, though. It's kinda annoying, but absolutely an improvement over the search for good men's jeans in the long run.

How very funny! I have taken to wearing the "student-size" boys' Levis jeans because I find they fit me better without any fuss.

I like the plainer cut of the guys' jeans.

Granted they aren't ultra low rise, but I have this thing about not letting my underpants show, don't you know?

I struggled with the same question years ago until i just splurged and bought a sewing machine, now I can make jeans as long or as short, wide or skinny, and make the rise perfect for my body. Besides that i did a little altering on all my clothes and now everythign fits better.

Where have you been looking for jeans? I to am insulted by the disustingly large and high waisted cuts that are out there for men, but there are definetly ways of getting more flatering looks w/o going to women's (which still isnt a bad idea, I have some pairs of women's jeans and I love them). Blue Cult men's jeans are cut very very well, slim at the waist, and decently low (I think the rise is 6 inches on most of them). Helmut Lang does decently slim fit stuff, but the smallest size he does is 29 so I can only wear his really slim fit styles. Also check out Rogan, I here they are great. I personally can't wear Paper Denim men's jeans, they fall off of me, the same goes for AGs. Some men's 7s fit me alright, but they are more my basic jeans. Also check out Levi's Premium Skinner jeans. I found these a while ago and they are a perfect fit. Marc by Marc Jacobs does a wonderful men's jean so you might want to take a look there as well. Good Luck.

"I've heard of him!"

is that a gerbil?)... that's such an OLD joke...c'mon...

i love high waisted levis on men and high waisted helmut langs...

i strongly recommend helmut lang if you want your *ss to look good...!!!....

Unless you have a very strong South African accent that is a really bad joke.

My problem with woman's jeans is that the butt area is always too large. Since I have very flat ***, there are always extra fabric sagging on the side.

High waist, straight leg is the way to go. Absolutely the most flattering on almost any shape. Low rise flares make me .

High waist, straight leg - The Most Flattering ?

Get real.

A low rise (5" - 6.5" rise) denim (2% lycra) and a bootcut is far more appealing as it contours to the body's natural shape.

i disagree...i especially despise men in flared jeans...
it was fine in saturday night fever...but that was another time and place...
and even those were high waisted...

ia gree, it's hard to find good cut men's ejans, although ICR vs Deathkillers has soem nice ones

personally i am very skinny and like straight low tight rock and roll jeans wich are extreamly hard to find, that is why I like womens pants

I haven't found a men's jean that's fit in the last four years. Either too low, too baggy in the legs, to tight in the butt - it's always something. Hi-rise women's talls fit fine, all-around, and don't look bad, as I wear my shirt out.

My wife gave me some funny looks the first time I came back from the store with women's jeans, but she relented when I said, "fine - you go buy my next pair of pants for me. If they don't fit, you can return it and select the next pair. And so on. And so on. Either that, or the next time we go out I'm wearing sweat pants!"

Her reply: "Ok, just... wear your shirt out."

I hope this hasn't been done before..

This thread is for everything having to do with men's denim (and pants too, if you like). So post your favorite jeans, where to find them, prices, which are better quality, anything - I'm looking for the best place to find good raw denim at around $150 - $250 +/- right now.

Thx :flower:

I'll contribute soon, when I find something
