Update:
Boutique that used to sell apc in my town sold the raw denim this way: buy a size up, wash it, throw it in the dryer and then it'll fit as it's supposed to. I don't know whether this advice was from apc originally, or experimentation on their part. Because I left it too late to exchange my way baggy pair for a size down, I ignored the warning conscientiously posted by Chad and went ahead with the wash 'n dry tactic. As it turned out, worked perfectly. The only aesthetic effects were that the denim softened and the color lightened a bit, became more distinctly indigo. I dryed the jeans inside out with several towels to avoid creasing. The pair shrunk A LOT. Probably a full 2 inches in the waist and hip, and from probably a 38 inseam to about a 36 inseam. After the wash and dry the size 33 raw cure fit exactly like my size 33 vintage cure.

ChadR said:You need to go down a few sizes (2/3). Don't wash them, and especially DO NOT throw them in the dryer! You will get crease marks. With unwashed, you want to wear them for as long as possible without washing them, then wash them however it says to on the directions, hang dry, and repeat. That way you will get maxamised fading and wiskering (naturally, which I think is amazing). If you have to, you can soak them in cold water before you wear them to make them alittle smaller, but it's best to size correctly at first, maybe even too tight (they'll stretch a good bit). www.superfuture.com go to super talk, theirs a huge thread on APC denim that will tell you everthing you need to know.
