Mens hoodies

I think stupid or vulgar are unnecessarily harsh words; especially from an aesthetic standpoint. I like the designs of the hoodies, but I honestly can't wrap my head around the pricing (for the quality). I recently saw a Billionaire Boys Club hoodie at Barney's in Seattle... Felt like a Hanes/Lee hoodie, the price tag was $350 :o

Short version: There is nothing wrong with kitsch.

faust, do you know how good the QC for Cloak hoodies are? I'm thinking they should be okay since they don't have buttons...

I tried on the American Apparel pullover hoodie, and damn that is slim. I'm too cheap to pay the $55 + tax so I'll get it off eBay. ^_^ Don't know if I should go with the white or black.

white because it's the opposite of what everyone else is wearing.

I like the fabric he uses for the thin ones - 85cotton/15cashmere - makes them light and soft - same fabric that Edk's cardigan from the current season is. I can't comment on the durability though, as I don't own any. As for the thick sweatshirt type hoodies, I haven't heard any complaints. Still, in my experience Cloak's QC sucks. From the 5 pieces I own, the two major ones have problems. On my wool flight jacket from FW04, the fabric itself on one pocket was torn after a month of wear (thank lord it is covered by a flap of the pocket - I just closed it and pretended that this particular pocket does not exist), and on my knit cardigan the wire trim of the horn buttons has come undone pretty quick. So, yea, I'm staying away in general - especially at the current prices.

Ahh. Prada Sport/Red Label/Linea Rossa = Next brand to hit chavness.
I thought it was a joke when I read on newspapers that you couldn't get into clubs in Manchester if you were wearing Prada Sport. Then I was looking for shoes at Selfridges and saw a group of chavs all around the Prada Sport section. Granted, that was the first time I've ever seen them, but the kids were roughly 16-17ish?

I find the red plastic label thingy too conspicuous, and (quite frankly) easy to copy. It would be sad for Prada to go the same way as Burberry...

Anyhow, I suggest you return it (if you haven't already). :)

I'd like to stress that i'm not trying to be snobbish/posh by hating chavs. I hope I didn't come across as some anal Conservative :).:flower:

I agree with you but....it is for sport!
I bought it primarily for skiing late in the season around spring etc. I wouldn't wear it during the night in clubs etc. mainly for lazing around in the day and it's very comfortable. I decided to keep it partially based on the fact that the majority of my clothes are slim fitting and, therefore, not nearly as comfortable as the hoody.

Save your brother from this, before it's too late, please.

pondon? is that the user's name? wow, they really cost that much??

Yes, that's her username. There are like 2 other eBay sellers with real BAPE stuff, check hypebeast and bapetalk... You can check the prices on hoodies for yourself...

If your brother wants all-over hoodies, Triumvir3 just started their pre-sale for 2 all-over hoodies... they're $150, if you like allover print stuff it might be worth it... I still would go with Spruce, W&H, and LW. :D

i would love to get my hands on a small scarf dh hoodie.

but as im a student, i'll be sticking to my AA hoodies in x-small & small^_^

Those Billionaire Boys Club hoodies are such trash, an eyesore at Barneys.

I dont like the street-wear fact that hoodies have, so to balance that out Im only doing them in gorgeous materials. I got a black cashmere Ralph Lauren pull-over hoodie this spring, I love it, the cashmere is like butter, it's so soft. Also I like how Marc Jacobs is playing with satin on hoodies, if he did one in all satin Id be all over it, a cream, navy, black or gold satin.

^ I basically agree here, there's something almost decadent about sportswear made in fine wool and cashmere knits... It sort of reminds me of the Chanel quote that is something like "luxury should be treated as trash, and trash should be treated as luxury".

I have a navy hoodie and a dark brown zipped hoodie in cashmere, and they are favourites of mine. ^_^

Juicy has a leather hoodies this season but there is something...off...about it. When I first saw it my little eyes lit up but the leather is too distressed looking, it just looks cheap. Also it's cut tooo baggy through the torso, which is surprising for Juicy.

^ I normally like the way they cut *some* things, I have a few great tees and polos but recently Ive been noticing an triangle (/\) shape in thier cuts, which is so horrid because it makes your torso look HUGE and shapeless. I think because they're trying to get a broader (meaning heterosexual) market. I love the way they cut thier blazers though, roomy through the arms and shoulders and lean through the torso. The perfect cut (for me).
