Mia Farrow

heh, I know! She's adorable.
She reminds me of Julia Roberts when she played Tinkerbell in Hook

Ok, I decided to just take a picture of the photograph in my sketchbook... I cropped and edited it as best I could, but it was a part of a big collage, and so it's a tad wrinkled...^_^ Oh well, this is it-

Except Rosemary's baby - what movies with Mia are good? I love "Death on the Nile" - which is also extremely stylish and has 70s style icon Lois Chiles. That movie just roxxx

and a picture of her mother:maureen o´sullivan.she had a similar beauty yet she didn´t have her daughter´s thin-skinned,neurotic aura.

thanks for sharing, cosette! i like the picture from your sketchbook even better for the wrinkles^_^

somnambule, can you believe i never watched the great gatsby??:ninja:
i always feared it would ruin the book for me but i think we have it here ... it's time has come:p
thanks for the pictures, she always looked like a flower in hats^_^

don´t expect too much estella, otherwise you could be disappointed.the film is primarily a feast to the eyes and to the ears.the story gets a bit lost among the opulence of the decor and the costumes.but since i know that you enjoy beauty and all its apparitions i´m sure that you´ll be able to enjoy the film for its sparkling quality alone-just like me ;).i´m looking forward to hearing your opinion .

I liked her in The Great Gatsby, lots of empty fluff and sparkle but that's what the theme was about anyways.

wonderful images, cosette, somanbule & anna!.

she was amazing in rosemary's baby, i dont recall seeing her in other films but i remember her as one of those actresses you just cant stop looking at.

i prefer the film to the book although it's not that good either.

but mia farrow is always so adorable. i loved her in rosemary's baby, nobody could have played that role like she did. she could epitomise this kind of fragility.. i'm glad woody allen worked with her so often. e.g. for in a midsummer night's sex comedy (where she had long hair and was an almost completely different type) purple rose of kairo and zelig. i've never seen alice which is next on my list of mia farrow-movies.

i love how she looked so beautiful without having those paper white teeth you would expect a movie star to have.

btw: there was an article about her and three other "style icons" in some german magazin (no i won't tell :ninja:), you know, that kind where they tell you how to "adopt" somebody's style, but the clothes just didn't work on the model i think. hm.

^ i can imagine the kind of magazine!

i did like her in the purple rose of cairo by woody allen, i watched it ages ago .... so i can't really remember.

here's an image from cannes in 1970 that i scanned from vogue paris, sorry for the crappy quality

Beautiful pictures! I'm glad you guys liked the picture from my sketchbook. It's funny because when I made that collage, I had no idea who she even was. I just liked the photograph, the lighting, her pose, etc. It was only about half a year later, when I watched Rosemary's Baby when I fell in love with her, and was so glad I made that collage using her picture instead of throwing away the magazine!^_^

I've not seen The Great Gatsby yet either... I've always held back because the book is one of my favourites, and I just can't see the film living up to my expectations. But somnambule, your talk of the cinematography and costume may be enough to get me to go rent it out.

some pics from the making of rosemary's baby.

northernsky thanks for the lovely pictures! She looks so beautiful...

twilight fairy, that is one lovely image!

northernsky, thanks so much for posting all those. i think i understand why you are undecided about the arbus picture (interesting, i never knew arbus portrayed her). it's not really how i like to see her, it seems very passive without this glowing underneath that she usually has?
