northernsky, thanks so much for posting all those. i think i understand why you are undecided about the arbus picture (interesting, i never knew arbus portrayed her). it's not really how i like to see her, it seems very passive without this glowing underneath that she usually has?

yeah, it's like the photographer took everything away but the surface. i think that is what gives this creepy impression of nakedness.

it's unusual indeed for arbus to take a picture of a famous face, isn't it? but it's her (unless everyone is lying. )
