What film is this from? And can anyone recommend any good Mia films i have seen Rosemary's baby and loved it, and the fashion!!!

Thank you Unipine and Anastacia for the pics!
Anastacia: I don't really know which movie that pic is from. I have only seen two Mia Farrow movies and that are Rosemary's baby and Death on the Nile.
I think the first one is a masterpiece and that the second is good too but not as much.

^^ I would too... I've been everywhere to find them but sadly I can't.

Mia is soooo beautiful.

I like it when celebrities put their fame to good use.

NEW YORK -- Actress Mia Farrow unveiled plans yesterday for an Olympic-style torch relay beginning this summer as part of a campaign aimed at shaming China into cutting support for Sudan over its role in the Darfur conflict.

Farrow, a UN goodwill ambassador, and a new activist group called Dream for Darfur are hoping to use the spotlight of the 2008 Beijing Olympics to draw attention to China's economic and diplomatic support for Sudan. China buys two-thirds of Sudan's oil and has close commercial ties with Khartoum.

Farrow and the group are asking China to suspend debt relief for Sudan, end arms transfers to the regime, and increase diplomatic pressure on the Sudanese government.
Jill Savitt, director of Dream for Darfur, said the organization hopes China will act before the Games, reaffirming the Olympics as a symbol of "world peace through sporting."
"It's irreconcilable for the host of the Olympics to also be complicit in an ongoing genocide," Savitt said on a telephone press conference yesterday.
More than 200,000 people have been killed and 2.5 million made homeless in Darfur during four years of attacks by Arab militias known as the janjaweed and allegedly backed by President Omar al-Bashir's government. The government denies the charge.
The torch relay will begin Aug. 8 in Chad near the Sudan border and make its way through countries associated with genocide: Rwanda, Armenia, Bosnia, Germany, and Cambodia, before ending up in December in Hong Kong. Farrow will attend the launch in Chad and will travel to Rwanda.
"It's apparent now that there's one thing that China holds more dear than its unfettered access to Sudanese oil," Farrow said. "And that is their successful staging of the 2008 Olympic Games."

Rosemary's Baby : Part Six

Sorry for the long delay in finishing the screencaps. Better late than never:p

^ Thank you! :woot:

I've decided that I'm going to be Rosemary for Halloween this year... I'm going to wear the blue nightie and have a fake knife. My boyfriend says I should cut my hair really short like Mia's in the film, but I'm not so sure that would look good on me...

^ Aww that's such a cute and creative idea for a costume!

And thanks for the caps karina

Thanks for the scans -lucyinthesky-!
Do you remember from which magazines/books they came from? We need that info for proper image crediting.

I've just watched Be Kind, Rewind a few weeks ago... her role was small in it but I was so happy that she got to play in a Gondry movie.

Yes, undoubtedly, Mia Farrow was beautiful in her youth. I can't decide if she looks like a grasshopper or a preying mantis--with her sharp cheek bones and huge eyes--incredibly insectoid! (wink!)

Thank you Karina for the screen caps. My sis and I used to fawn over her clothes in 'Rosemary's Baby'--especially the outfit she wore to meet her best friend: the blue hat/coat/scarf combo. She was the ultimate paper doll in the 60s

looking at the stills from rosemary´s baby it amazes me again what a lasting image she has created in that film.there´s a picture of her in a telephone cell, looking haunted and extremely vulnerable.my mind has totally absorbed it.in an almost archetypal way it represents sheer terror, existenial fear...a skinned soul yet with the sharpened instincts of an animal in captivity.it´s just amazing what her eyes alone can convey.
these pics are from amazon.de,i found them while searching for dvds..
