And I thought, since Michael is good at 'grabbing his bird', I'm inviting him to grab ours

if you can grab your bird, you're BAD like Michael Jackson! B)
do the birdman!

I hear Oprah is going to interview Michael's mom Katherine... @ Oprah
There is such a thing as being "neutral". She chose to bash Mike but after his passing now she is kissing a*s, you can't have it both ways.

I'm fine with people become fans post passing or want to show respect. But don't pretend you didn't say nasty things before and in effect perpetuated the negative views about him. BZ please! people don't forget -_-

Anyways! have you seen my childhooood? part deux
One of my favorite movies growing up was Now And Then (1995)
A coming of age movie set in 1970 and 1995, the soundtrack is soo good!

Two Jackson 5 songs are featured on the soundtrack, I Want You Back (1969) and I'll Be There (1970). It was perfect because the characters in the movie are the same age as Michael, 12 in 1970.

In 7th grade when i was also 12 years old coincidentally, i went to my best friend's house, we were looking through her CD collection for something to listen to. I saw this soundtrack and was like "omg you like Now And Then too! :woot:". So we popped in the CD and was groovin' to it :D We both agreed Jackson 5 was our favorite on there, 'twas a bonding moment ^_^

Flashback to the 70's! are you ready to get ~psychedelic?
Automatic systematic full of color self contained
Tuned and gentle to your vibes

Dancing Dancing Dancing Machine! (1974)

^ those look like whoopie cushions to me  i had so many of those but someone would always sit too hard and break them! instead of a farting sound you get BOOM!

making history on the cover of Ebony magazine (1970)

^ We may not change the world in one day
But we still can change some things today...
In Our Small Way (1972)

Where have I been?
What should i be looking for?
What am I gonna be when I come of age?
Will I be strong?
Will I be a mighty man
Climb mountains if I can
When I Come Of Age (1973)

Hey y'all I think I'll be a movie star
Or travel to some distant star
Yeah that's it I'm gonna be an astronaut
And rock it to the moon
And then I'll be the captain of a giant ship
I'm gonna take a long, long trip to far off land
When I become a man
...

achieving the American Dream, making it to California and on the sunny beaches of Los Angeles (1970)
nat-time.jpg

^ Can You Remember (1969) when we were babies, we were always together...

Happy (1973) that's you
You made my life brand new
Lost as a little lamb was I, till you came in
My life began when Happy smiled
Sweet, like candy to a child
Stay here and love me just a while
Let sadness see what Happy does
Let Happy be where Sadness was

This is a Beat It post, if you don't like it...you can BEAT IT!

beatit-for_always.gif

a mix of Beat It art and music; this post is photo, gif, and video HEAVY just like DUB. there are varying degrees of Dubstep(electronic, bass drops, wobble etc) and many interpretations, i'll list from light to heavy. the thing about Dub is it's not passive music, not about easy listening or something you play in the background. Dub requires your full attention, so shake them dreads and work them hips that don't lie! :mohawk:

^The first one looks like Gary Coleman^_^
Man I really love that Beat Itch. Killer bass drop indeed.

Lisa Marie Presley is on Oprah tomorrow/Thursday...oh dear
i don't get people who say they don't want people invading their personal lives but they are always doing interviews about their personal lives.
Both of them are now singing a new tune :innocent:ya'll should've treated him better when he was alive.

i've been reading that the upcoming MJ album is very unfinished. but the same article said Invincible was a bad album so i kind of dismissed it -_-. i don't care what Era the music will be from, i'm just glad to be able to hear more unreleased stuff from Mikey.

^Oh! Can you post it here once it hits Youtube?
I really don't hate LMP. I just hope she will finally have a mature enough say on her ex (a dead one at that).
Although I doubt it too, given her choice of interviewer (Why is Oprah taking ages to go off air!)
I wonder if LMP ever thought about Michael's children when deciding to do these things. I'm sure she as child wouldn't have liked to know that her father was being talked about by an embittered ex and a chat show woman with somewhat of an ax to grind in front of millions of people. Of all people, Lisa, you should know better!

Where is the article from? I feel like nobody likes MJ music anymore except us fans.
Because afterall, if they do like his music, they'd be a fan, right?
So yeah, to hell with the non-fans.-_-

^
i'll post a link to the episode when it pops up online :flower:

there are few people i genuinely 'hate' that are associated with MJ, most are just a*sholes who pick on anyone who is current tabloid fodder. put someone else down in order to put themselves up. name drop MJ just so they can get their quote in print because they couldn't get it on their own, stranger b*tches. my biggest issues are with the people involved in or regarding(crooked journalists, people who could be bought--to lie so they could falsely accuse MJ etc) the '93 and '05 cases.

i think MJ & LMP were really cute together but she didn't handle the questions post breakup well. you can always say "no comment" and focus on promoting her album or whatever. if you must vent, talk about that sh*t with your friends, family, shrink etc.

personal relationships are always complicated, it's normal for people to fight. i just don't think it's right to air your dirty laundry and then try play victim. there are always two sides of the story yada yada yada... frankly, i don't give a sh*t about the details because had been broken up for so many years! she should've moved on already (like in her 2005 interview with Oprah).

if you bait the media by saying mean things about your ex then you better be ready for the backlash too. LMP wasn't wrong to feel anything she felt, it's just the way she handled it that made me shake my head.

link to the preview video of LMP on Oprah

link to the article i read about his upcoming album because there is too much snarky BS that i don't like seeing on here in full. you guys can post whatever articles you like but i just prefer not to give shine to the negative...the opinions of people who i don't care about. i just read these articles because want the facts on his album etc.

i know a lot of non-fans who enjoy his music ^_^. they sing his songs to me when they get it stuck in their head . i've met many people who admit to me that they don't know much about him so they ask me a lot of questions about him or for song suggestions etc

maybe it's just my city but i always get nice comments whenever i wear one of my MJ shirts etc. one time my bank teller greeted me by singing and dancing(while still sitting in his chair) to "Billie Jean" to me . and right afterwards he was like "OMG i'm so embarrassed! i don't know what came over me!". we got into a whole convo about Billie Jean covers and he was asking if i heard the David Cook or Chris Cornell covers and to check those out if i hadn't.

Yeah I know you live in Gary/MJ:heart:town^_^.
I never get to see anybody that fun! I'm beginning to hate my friends-_-, for not knowing.

I agree with everything you said about LMP.
It irks me that everytime she comes out to 'share' her thoughts she has an album to promote.

i actually haven't watched this yet. i don't have any working televisions in my house...i know i know
