Weirdly, I like this. Of all the Celine derivatives of this season, this seems to be least pretentious. That's a lot to say about Kors.

MK has always been basic, but at least it used to look chic, expensive and glamorous. This is just boring, lifeless and most of it looks cheap.

These are good solid basics. Nothing to write home about which is perfectly fine based on current affairs. It’s better to present something that is guaranteed to sell instead of something that will only live in magazines.

Just went to see the collection on ModaOperandi...

It looks very dynamic on the runway but very basic as a pure offering of clothes. I never know who buys MK Mainline but I can’t say it’s terrible.

It's honestly better than the overstyled, Emily in Paris mess he sent these last few years. Michael Kors is best when it's basic.

Bit of a palate cleanser for me. Michael isn't everyone's cup of tea but there's something to be said for presenting a collection that's understated but cohesive instead of going for broke to make a splash on social media. Everyone needs luxe basics.
