Toasting Ralph Lauren's new book at Bergdorf Goodman

(NEW YORK) True to its content, Ralph Lauren's eponymous book launch at Bergdorf Goodman last night was a family affair. While the legendary designer signed hundreds of copies and alligator pressed-calfskin deluxe editions of the work, daughter Dylan cheered him on, son David diligently handled the organization of the event, and wife Ricky even helped package the books at one point. "Well, I'm a muse!" smiled Mrs. Lauren. "This year has been incredible. It's truly been about love, about thrills--and something like this amazing book really tops it off. I'm touched by this work, because it really pays tribute to our family."

Actress Michelle Monaghan arrived to the event with good friend Mary Alice Stephenson, and was inspired both by her Ralph Lauren dress and the beautiful tome. "I just want to shimmy my hips in this feathery number!" she beamed. "Mr. Lauren is very impressive, but if I had a book to pay tribute to my family, there would be a lot of pictures of camping, barbecuing, and lots of cards. My family loves the outdoors!"
