^ Thank you!! The third picture, the guy in the headdress is Mickey Dolenz from The Monkees- I am pretty sure it's for the Monterey Pop weekend in 1967...
I have read that she could not take a bad picture, and that may be true... What perfect features, and of course there is the inexplicable attraction she had for men- otherwise reasonable show biz guys who were used to beautiful women around them were ready to ruin their lives just to go with her- in fact, several did!
I can't remeber ever seeing her in a bikini before!! Now, that's a shame...! Ricardo Montalban and Michelle Phillips "Fantasy Island" - ”Mermaid Returns” episode aired on March 14, 1981
I was just reading that Denny Doherty (the other man in the group) and his daughter knew all about Mackenzie Phillips trouble with her father; I wonder why Michelle is so vehemently against what Mackenzie has said, defending John in such a dramatic way when Michelle was on far from good terms with John for so many years... What a sad PS to the story...
^ You're welcome- almost makes me wish I was a writer, when you see someone who can put together an article that good...
Looking back through her older pictures, it is surprising how not blonde Michelle was a lot of the time- for someone who was the poster girl for the California Blonde, her hair was more light brown much of the time (although I liked it better sun streaked- beach blonde)...I guess Blonde is more a state of mind... B)
Unrelated facts: They were together for only two and a half years, recorded less that 50 songs, and appeared on stage only around 40 times! (And were still inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!) Their big hit 'Monday Monday' sold 180,000 copies as a 45 single (when you had to go to a record store and buy it) the first day it was released, and Michelle says 45 years later, she still has teenagers coming up to her saying 'You guys are my favorite music group'!! Talk about making an impact!!
