Michelle Williams

It goes without saying, but she looks so much like her sister. I think Michelle has previously worn those shoes Paige is wearing? Do you think they borrow each other's clothes? :)

looooove the outfit, so true to her style!!
and look at Matilda, she's growing so fast:blush:

^yes, me too!! we are not really spoilt these last weeks!
but I guess it's a good thing for her

read this on twitter:

Michelle Williams in talks to star as Marilyn Monroe in Simon Curtis' "My Week With Marilyn," filming is scheduled to begin in June.

Hahaha she really is, but I don't want Lindsay playing Marilyn.
I don't know if I could see Michelle as her either, but if they can get her to look like Marilyn I think she could pull it off, acting-wise.

wow, lol at lindsay being jealous of everyone who resembles marilyn.
i would think scarlett j. would be a better choice, no?

while scarlett physically looks more like marilyn, she's a terrible actress and i think that plays a huge part in it. plus there is this:

"The part isn’t meant to be an impersonation of Monroe. Michelle’s a good enough thespian to give a flavour of the actress’s star power, and make-up and well-designed costumes will help accentuate the similarities.

‘She’s not going to be a Monroe lookalike,’ someone close to the actress in Brooklyn told me."

I don't think Scarlett is a terrible actress. She's been choosing some awful 'mainstream' pictures lately. She needs to go back to independent films with well-written roles for her. It's a wasted talent.

scarlett was amazing in matchpoint. like almost oscar worthy i think.
but i havent seen anything shes done since that's as good.

but the more i think about it, michelle has alot more range as an actress. she can be very coy like marliyn and also serious. its better that its not just an impersonation. michelle is a really interesting choice!

Scarlet and Natalie Portman are interesting actresses. Without going to far off topic. You can have a debate about their acting and have different opinions on them. I think they are the most inconsistent actors. They are good in one movie and bad in another. But one thing about them is that they are a beauty to look at. For Michelle
her acting is always consistent. Her acting on the series finale of Dawson' Creek is still excellant. And that was before all her movies now.

agree with you, scarlett did very bad choices in the last three/four years, acting-wise... however she was a fantastic actress when she was still starting her career as an adult actress, examples are ghost world, the girl with the pearl earring and lost in traslation... then, she got lost in the hollywood mainstream focusing herself on her external appareance and her role as a sex symbol rather than on her acting.

As well as Natalie Portman, she does a bad acting when it comes to a movie with an unsustainable script. I think they are mainly script actress, they follow every step the director/filmmaker/scripter has to say; they work with patterns.. instead of adding some personal touch and some improvisation... in the case of Scarlett I don't know, but Woody Allen when he worked with Portman had some problems with her (she was still a teenager) in these terms: she wasn't able to offer her personal impression/view of the character and the film (Allen works a lot with actors improvisation, not only on the script but also on the way they move).

btw, I read not so long ago, that Scarlett will be playing as Marilyn on a movie... now I just wonder if she was an option for the Simon Curtis' movie or there's going to be two movies about Marilyn soon and simultaneously (as it happens in Hollywood very often... for instance, with Truman Capote in 2006).

I think Michelle is a great choice.
