every emotion feels so authentic and yet it's all so subtle with her....there isn't even a slight hint of self consciousness around her acting....she just lives inside every single character, and it's like they all continue to live in my mind, all the people she's played. it's lovely to watch.
varietyMichelle Williams will receive the Hollywood Film Festival's actress award.
The kudo, announced Wednesday, will be presented at the festival's Oct. 24 awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton.
Williams will be seen next alongside Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench in "My Week With Marilyn," which the Weinstein Co. will release on Nov. 4. She's also in Sarah Polley's "Take This Waltz," which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
Thanks for posting. I can't say I'm very interested in this movie, other than for the very fact that Michelle is in it. It just seems to be that this whole Marilyn thing has been done so many times....I don't know what could possibly be new... and it's interesting to me, above all, that Michelle would take the role, because she seems so discerning with the roles she chooses and how she sees them. so I guess for that reason I'm curious to see it. I can't say I have much interest in Marilyn herself....i know the world is fascinated by her, and perhaps sadness like that is endlessly fascinating....
