Michelle Williams

I was wondering where Busy was! Her makeup and hair are stunning. I don’t mind the dress, but I also don’t love it.

Busy joined Michelle at one of the after parties. Since Michelle's plus one was Tarana Burke, the founder of the #MeToo movement, there was really no way for Busy to attend the ceremony.

^I thought that might be the case. But I also didn’t know how many +1’s they get.

^Me either! And looks wise too. But, she seems really happy and that's all that matters! I love that bathing suit.

Well given the recent controversy with the reshoots of her recent film... he might come in handy. It really sucks she got the short end of the stick.

There's a reason opposites attract ;)

Just saw an ad for the movie while reading a magazine, and that dipsh!t Wahlberg isn't even a featured player. It may be true that almost everyone did the reshoot for equity base pay. The real issue here seems to be that one actor and his agent decided to be jacka$$es about it. Why exactly, is a rather interesting question. It is a great illustration of how being nice and flexible about things--and isn't that what women specialize in--gets the miniscule paycheck, whereas being a jerk gets the whopping big one. Has he reacted at all to the negative press?

Yeah I read the synopsis of the film and she really should get top billing. What's really annoying is that when this is mentioned, most people's reaction has been "This isn't sexism, she should have gotten a better agent and negotiated better" which is barbaric... we all know at the end of the day men still dominate the business aspect of every industry.

I agree on asking why he had all those clauses on his contract... he had the power to veto his costars and held up the reshoots until he got paid more.

Anyways I hope it leaves a sour note on his future endeavors and when people hire him they don't offer him any huge contracts with all these extra perks. Plus what is he even doing in a film like this? He's not a great actor, just a meathead who can play the same role in films like transformers and the such.

He just reacted and said he donated the 1.5M he got form the film to the Time's Up fund and his agency added another half a million and they did it all under Michelle's name... it's a nice gesture but just a PR move to save face.

Definitely a PR move, but a smart one, and at least the money will go towards helping someone no matter why he donated. Michelle is great in the film - I understand Plummer making a good salary or getting top billing, because he is a legend and basically saved the film, but Wahlberg is definitely the weak link in the movie. The one point that did make a little bit of sense is that he had more scenes to reshoot with Plummer - that part is true, as Getty repeatedly ignored/refused to see Michelle's character. Anyway, all of this just made Michelle look even better as she did the reshoots for minimum pay and did a fantastic job in the film itself. To keep this on topic, I also love her red bathing suit and hat, so simple but chic for the beach :)

Mark didn't get top billing, though. Michelle did.

I don't really think this has anything to do with the gender pay gap - Jeremy Renner getting paid more than Amy Adams for American Hustle is a classic example of that. This is just a case of a Hollywood actor being greedy.

I read this as well ... the first of many donations to the fund I hope ;) I figured that a donation was in his future ...
