It wasn't a really a high profile relationship though. The media made it that way. Michelle and Heath could have obviously done without the attention. This is off topic though.

I think she would get a lot less paparazzi attention if she never dated Ledger (and if he hadn't died so young), but her career would probably be exactly the same. She's a fantastic actress, not your average "It" girl. I think all of the kids from "Dawson's Creek" were pretty talented (to varying degrees). In addition, Williams has made fabulous career choices. I think she's legitimately talented and interesting. Few actors give such great, insightful interviews.

i also think she wouldn't have had as much attention drawn to her fashion and style. her style was very different before she was with heath. honestly, i think that relationship opened up access to better stylists, designers, etc.
