Michelle Williams steps out for coffee and kisses with director lover Spike Jonze

Actress Michelle Williams and lover Spike Jonze are proving their relationship is rock solid after stepping out for a spot of shopping in New York.
The pair, who've been romantically linked since last summer, were spotting holding hands and kissing as they picked up some organic groceries and stopped off for coffee in Brooklyn.
The Brokeback Mountain star was taking time out from looking after her three-year-old Matilda Rose, her daughter by late partner Heath Ledger.

Twenty-eight year-old Michelle first met film-maker Spike after auditioning for his film,
Where the Wild Things Are. They got together again last year, when she won a role in Synecdoche, which he produced.
Since then they've become close, with Spike proving a comfort for Williams who admits she's struggled to come to terms with the death of Oscar winner Heath.

Friends of the Montana born star say she's attempting to live as normal a life as possible for the sake of her daughter Matilda and has vowed to give up acting altogether if she can't.

A source has told the Mail Online: 'Matilda means the world to Michelle, who is now left alone to raise her daughter. And Spike, who has no children of his own, has been very good to both Michelle and Matilda.
'Spike had a gentle way of just being there for Michelle. There was no pressure for her to spend time with him – he just wanted to be a loving, supportive shoulder for Michelle to cry on.
'And his patience and kindness caused Michelle to look at him in a different light. Now the two are spending more time together, and their one-time friendship has developed into more.
'Michelle loves Spike's quirky sense of humour and his brilliant talent. And he adores her soft, feminine demeanour, and he is in awe of the way she parents her daughter.
Jonze was previously married to fellow film-maker Sofia Coppola.
He's famed for directing music videos for the likes of Fatboy Slim and the award winning Being John Malkovich.
