Michelle Williams

I don't like the dress at all! It looks like a bride dress or for pregnant woman....
she can do much better!

The thing for me about Michelle is that she wears the clothes; they don't wear her. Her personality transcends whatever she wears, like Julianne Moore for example, and so even if i don't love what she's wearing, she still somehow always looks great. Kinda like what swingcat said,

Her skin and face are gorgeous, and she was fabulous in Blue Valentine.

I'm not a big fan of her everyday style. I find it boring and a bit frumpy. Her body type is very slim and boyish, so I think her clothes could use better fitting.

umm, I must be the only one who do not really like it.
it does nothing for her and looks frumpy.
I think its her worst look and she usually looks great on the red carpet.

Just saw my Marie Claire with her on the cover. Can't wait to read the interview.

Anyway...

The New York Times' take on Michelle style-wise and what she may wear tomorrow night to the Golden Globes:

She’s got taste, but Michelle Williams is not exactly memorable for her dresses. There was that Vera Wang number, the mustard-yellow dress with old-fashioned ruffles and draping, that some people got worked up about. Designers are mad about her, so it may be the moment to break out of that “vintage” thing.

Golden Globes: Best Dress Guess

Let's hope she doesn't wear that. The colour would instantly draw comparisons to the Vera Wang number and it's kind of boring. Don't listen to anyone Michelle, your 'conservative' look suits you! Maybe she could wear Erdem?

I agree with the first part, but I don't find the dress boring. ;) :flower:

I can't wait for tomorrow! And I most definitely cannot wait to see Blue Valentine.

anyone have any luck finding out where the fur trim parka was from, back in #676??

desperate to track it down!

Michelle does Golden Globes in style

Michelle Williams is tipped to take home the Golden Globe for best actress tonight for her performance in Blue Valentine, but don’t expect the stunning star to be accompanied by an entourage of stylists, make-up artists and hairdressers.

‘I’m taking my best friend Leith Clark as a date and fortunately she’s a fashion stylist too,’ said Michelle. ‘I still haven’t decided what to wear. I like to have options so I’ll probably decide last-minute. I love finding something exciting to wear and if it’s vintage, even better.’
Awards hopeful: But Blue Valentine star Michelle Williams is unsure what she will be wearing to the Golden Globes

Michelle, 30, will be joined on the red carpet by her Blue Valentine co-star Ryan Gosling. ‘We are very close – we lived together for a month to get into character,’ she revealed. ‘Ryan was great, he would always do the washing-up. I’ve never met a man who loves doing dishes so much!’

But despite these glowing words, Michelle quashed rumours the couple are dating, insisting, 'We really are just good friends.

16th Annual Critics Choice Movie Awards - Backstage And Audience
Leyenda: LOS ANGELES, CA - JANUARY 14: Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams attends the 16th Annual Critics Choice Movie Awards at the Hollywood Palladium on January 14, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.

with Ryan Gosling - their chemistry is incredible -they seem so lovely and sweet with eachother - they really seem at ease and she looks carefree because she sometimes used to look a bit sad :heart:

That's because he is! :brows:

I'm wondering if the Balenciaga dress she wore to the Critics' Choice Awards is vintage?

I didn't know they were friends!

i have to say that she's been campaigning hard for her nomination. never thought she, of all the people, would play the game this hard. don't get me wrong, she deserves it and i'm glad she's "been helpful" but it's just weird at this point considering it's Michelle we're talking about.

sorry if this sounds "unfan-ish" of me (cus i am fan and all), but i couldn't help noticing.
