FYI, Michelle Williams' new movie, My Week with Marilyn, has a release date now.

After wowing critics last year in “Blue Valentine,” Michelle Williams is set to once again do the awards circuit taking on one of the most iconic actresses of all time in “My Week With Marilyn.” The project, directed by TV veteran Simon Curtis (”Cranford”) centers on Marilyn Monroe (Williams), and follows her friendship with young Englishman Colin Clark while in the country shooting “The Prince and the Showgirl,” as well as her tempestuous relationship with director/co-star Laurence Olivier. Rising star Eddie Redmayne plays Clark, with Kenneth Branagh taking on the mantle of Olivier, and a solid supporting cast including Judi Dench as actress Sybil Thorndike, Julia Ormond as Olivier’s wife Vivien Leigh, Dougray Scott as Monroe’s husband Arthur Miller, with Derek Jacobi, Dominic Cooper and Emma Watson rounding things out. The film will wiggle it’s hips into theaters on November 4th.

can´t wait for the red carpet buzz before November 4th for the movie -surely running for the Oscars with opening in Nov.

David Gritten, of the Telegraph, saw the trailer for “My Week with Marilyn” at Cannes, where, he reports, its distributor, the estimable Harvey Weinstein, showed it at a party and it “generated spontaneous, enthusiastic applause.” The movie is slated for release in Europe later this year and, I’d guess, here, too, by year’s end, in time to be eligible for awards.

Still, I have a feeling that the big hit on the BBC's new slate will be My Week With Marilyn, an account of the time Marilyn Monroe spent in Britain in 1957, filming The Prince and the Showgirl opposite Laurence Olivier. Michelle Williams plays the effervescent sexy Marilyn

She's a phenomenal actress, one of the few I actually pay money to see her movies, and I'm sure she'll be great in My Week With Marilyn...but I just don't see her as a sex pot. I just don't.

Well even if she fails, at least she tried. Acting is about experimenting. Anyway, I'm more excited about Take This Waltz. Can't wait to see her promoting both films.

Cannot wait for this, Michelle Williams is flawless beyond words! :woot: What an incredible performance in Blue Valentine as well.

yeah I have totally forgotten about "Take a waltz" - hopefully they will find a distributer and give it a release date soon
