Love this outfit. This is my style down to a t.

you know what .. she looks very sweet and elfin but i miss the more glamorous feminine (without being so childlike) look that she had when she was with heath.. i know this haircut makes her the ultimate gamine pixie and she dresses in that look but i miss her in givenchy and chloe and p. lim .. she used to look more sophisticated like sofia coppola

Her red carpet style lately seems very inconsistent because she has about 328298 stylists. I think the problem with some of her looks lately is the lack of accessorising. I'm someone that doesn't personally assessorise a lot myself but on Michelle it just seems too bare. She already has short hair! Why emphasise it even more? already I mean, a pair of earrings or a necklace would do! Take a look at the Dior dress she wore a few weeks back. Earrings could've seriously elevated that look. Or even a brooch (she wore one a few years back...loved it). Or the Nina Ricci gown? She looked absolutely perfect in the dress but she would've looked even better with a bit of accessorising. It's just laziness. Even a clutch would at least complete most of these seemingly 'incomplete' looks. Her stylist(s) seems to be doing a lazy job.

Perhaps she should get Kate Young back! She used to style her and still styles Natalie Portman (who is taking a long break from the red carpet, so maybe she could take her place).

She looks so cute on that portrait session. She really has gorgeous features.

I :heart:the flat mary janes= Any ID???? she looks lovely! can't believe she has a 6-year-old daughter!

she looks ubercute, but, i must say this is the first photoshoot in which her face/skin looks kinda aged. i don't see it as a bad thing, just kinda incompatible with the whole young teen sweetness that's been more accentuated in the last year or bit more. i dunno if it even makes sense what i'm saying.

i guess what i'm trying to say is i hope she doesn't turn into those hipster people in future who just don't know when to "stop" with it, tho Michelle still has year before she's even "eligible" for that "title".

Very sweet "portrait" shoot, and another peter pan collar; she is really working the pixie look lately. I love the flats too.

Adorable actress Michelle Williams is Elle magazine's December cover star and the subject of a fashion spread and rare interview to promote her starring role in upcoming Marilyn Monroe biopic 'My Week With Marilyn'.

In it, the two-time Oscar nominee speaks about her hopes and fears for the film, 'I've never been so hanging on a cliff waiting to hear what people think of a movie'; and the agonising responsibility of portraying such an idol. 'I think after the second day, I told them they had to take away my passport because I was a flight risk'.

But the most poignant part of the interview comes long after the movie talk when the fiercely private star - whose personal life was made so public following the sudden death of her ex-partner, and father of her six-year-old daughter Matilda, Heath Ledger in 2008 - talks about her signature cropped hairstyle:

'What Matilda would love is for her mum to grow out the cropped hair, though that's unlikely to happen any time soon.

'I've really grown into it - I feel like myself with short hair. And it's been a really long time since I had long hair, five years,' she explains.

'Of course, the only people who like it are gay men and my girlfriends. Straight men across the board are not into this hair!'

'I cut it for the one straight man who has ever liked short hair and I wear it in memorial of somebody who really loved it.'

Considering I rewatched TDK just yesterday and 'knowing' how hard it is for her to talk about this, that quote really is heartbreaking. :/

the quote is really sweet and heartbreaking:cry:

the dress she's wearing on the cover is absolutely lovely

What happened when Queen Elizabeth met Marilyn Monroe?

Even the Queen herself is interested in seeing that moment played out on the big screen: She plans to host a showing at the palace of the upcoming film My Week With Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams, a source tells PEOPLE.

In the film, Williams channels the sultry star, portraying Monroe as she was during a brief period in the summer of 1956, when the actress was in the U.K. filming The Prince and the Showgirl. It was during that time that Monroe met the Queen.

The Weinstein Company, which produced the film but would not confirm the Queen's screening, received rare permission to film inside Windsor Castle – not surprising considering the Queen reacted favorably to another of their movies, the Oscar-winning The King's Speech.

One big question remains, however: Whether the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William will attend the showing.

I love her hair, I hope she leaves it like that for quite awhile. She's adorable.
