Eek I feel like I'm the only one who didn't like this dress on her. She was actually my worst dressed along with Jessica Chastain. For some reason, the black and white didn't work for me. Is it just me or did the black look like a heavier (maybe velvet) fabric? Something about it didn't quite translate to the red carpet. On the plus side, her hair, makeup, and clutch were en pointe! Maybe if the dress wasn't white? I'm not sure lol. I'm super excited to see what she wears to the G Globes tomorrow, though!

To be honest, she's always gone for black and white dresses (especially white). Her style really hasn't changed that much. There have been a few times where she has gone for colour (the mustard Vera Wang at the Academy Awards, the vintage Givenchy at the Golden Globes, the green Chloe at the Independent Spirit Awards and the striped one and the purple vintage YSL at Cannes).

She looks amazing in white considering how pale she is. I love it when she has white on cause I feel it's when she's most comfortable.

I think she likes to wear colour though when it's a huge special events like her mustard Vera Wang at the Academy Awards and the (purple) vintage Givenchy at the Golden Globes. God I LOVE these two looks.

on the subject of white/black - IMO, in the past, she managed to be rather refreshing despite of the often usage of the white/black dresses, they all looked rather "inovative" and differently structured in the past, while, during this award season, all of those are fairly similar except the recent gown she wore. to cut to the chase, each black/white piece she has worn in the past def felt on its own and i distinctly remember it each, while now, i don't think i remember more than 2-3.

the last look is too ill-fitting for her and i don't like it, despite of it being cute.
