That is true, but we all have different expenses. She is a celebrity living in Hollywood and don't know how much she spends on herself, her daughter, staff and management so her reasoning that she signed the Vuitton contract to supplement her income because the money from films alone wasn't enough makes complete sense to me. Anyway, I'm not "defending" her - this is all very subjective anyway, I was just reporting what she has said.

When Michelle first joined Louis Vuitton in 2013 back when Marc Jacobs was still at the helm, she was still making independent films exclusively so I can definitely understand why she did it. James Van Der Beek mentioned that he doesn't get great residual checks for Dawson's Creek because he was young and signed a really bad contract. Maybe Michelle did too? Since 2013, she has been more open to studio films having done Oz, I Feel Pretty, Venom and The Greatest Showman but maybe she's doing those for more name recognition. I can't quite understand why she decided to do Venom unless they're deceiving us with the 'boring girlfriend' look she served us in the trailer.
