wow....quite surprising indeed. especially with the success with their line at target and the attention that's proceeded from that.

Did she leave or is the line being shut down? I'm torn. On the one hand, I don't really think Jovovich-Hawk sells that well. Maybe it does but it's never been one of those brands that seems to consistently sell, and I think that's because of it's high price point combined with a very unique look. Or maybe I just feel that way because it's never really won me over. That said, I would imagine Milla would have connections to get ample backing. But maybe she just left because she didn't want to deal with it any more but it seemed it was a real labour of love for her....

It's surprising indeed.
On one hand I appreciate certain aesthetics of the line but on the other hand, it seems like there were other lines that had a similar feel to Jovovich-Hawk.
It seem like Jovovich-Hawk was on the right path...hopefully we'll see something else from her, besides more Resident-Evilesque flicks ;)

I hated the line! so the name doesn't make clothes! sorry!

you know, I'm not surprised.

Loehmann's on La Cienega is always full of Jovovich-Hawk stuff (along with Erin Featherston) and that's not a good sign.

That's weird, it has her name attached and is actually well respected.

hum ... i like theri stuff .. tho I dont recall recent stuff ...

Hope she doesnt completely give up on design .. from all the sh*tt* celedesigners shes one of the best, imho

^i agree. i thought they did some rather decent things. unlike like so many celeb lines....at least it had some substance.

update!

from fashionweekdaily

"We couldn’t help but ask Milla Jovovich about her decision to shutter her much-praised Jovovich-Hawk line at last night’s Bulgari party. “We ended on a high note,” she said. “Target sold out in three days. But we’re weren’t designers anymore, we were production managers.” Regardless, Jovovich’s designer days are far from over. “Now I’m here in Paris meeting with bigger houses about doing designing for them,” she revealed. “Unfortunately, Carmen’s not working with me anymore–she’s taking pictures–but I am definitely going to keep designing.” Where, oh where will her designs end up? Let the speculation begin."
