I can imagine that if I had the ability at 15, I might choose to dress older and more polished than my years. However, her outfits have frequently veered toward looking quite pageantry and uncomfortable in contrast to similarly aged peers...

She's now 18 but this is still true and I think it often has to do with the makeup and hair choices being made for red carpet events.

She looks lovely and fresh-faced off-duty, in magazines, and even in her film/tv work, which tend to go with a more natural look for her, but someone really needs to sit down with her red carpet hair and makeup artists and tell them that if your 18 year old client is wearing something that a 40 year old could comfortably wear, you don't have to give her face a makeup look that ages her 20 years too. She has a tendency to choose "mature" silhouettes anyway (idk if this is her taste or her team trying to position her out of the 'teen' look), but the severe makeup looks they give her are ridiculous and ages her by 10 years almost every time, starting from when she was very young and sometimes even when the outfit she's wearing is otherwise perfectly age-appropriate (eg the ridiculous scraped-back look she's wearing with her Stranger Things 3 pink cupcake dress).

That said, I don't mind her Stranger Things 4 premiere look - I think it works as slightly more mature than her true age and is better than some of the things we've seen her wear on red carpets. Still a low bar though.

more recent outfits from early May at Osaka Comic-con, the red jacket, crop top and shorts are from Annie's Ibiza and made from deadstock suede, the boots are by Annie's Ibiza in collaboration with Terry de Havilland and the denim puffball dress is from Moschino

(she also wore an Annie's Ibiza dress to her 18th birthday celebrations that I've put in last, she seems to like the brand and I'm so glad her style is moving away from whatever ghastly tacky age-her-by-10-years messes her stylists used to put her in for red carpets and starting to reflect a more fun playful sensibility that's closer to her age)

so glad her style is moving away from whatever ghastly tacky age-her-by-10-years messes her stylists used to put her in for red carpets and starting to reflect a more fun playful sensibility that's closer to her age)

looks like I spoke too soon, these are from her engagement party in early June and while it's nice that she looks happy and the outfit is cute and typical for her age range...... it looks like she's used the WGA-strike-enforced delay in filming Stranger Things, to go back and get more lip fillers, I swear whoever put the idea into this girl's head that she ever needed fillers or tweaks to her face to look like some 2014 instagram 'baddie'/45 year old reality tv star needs to be smacked in the face - she's barely 19, has a strong natural resemblance to some of the most iconic beauties of the last half century in film and NO ONE around her can tell her to please accept her natural features or that this isn't a good look on her/getting ? idk if this makes me more sad or angry or both.
I know she's the face of her own makeup brand but I'd hope age brings greater acceptance of her natural features instead of the need to tweak and filler them into some distorted version of yourself.

Stranger Things star recently celebrated her engagement to fiancé Jake Bongiovi, the 21-year-old son of famed rockstar Jon Bon Jovi. In photos from the engagement party shared by hairstylist Pete Burkill on June 1, Brown can be seen gazing lovingly into Bongiovi’s eyes while standing next to a white heart-shaped balloon arch surrounding a “Mr. and Mrs. Bongiovi” neon sign.

For the celebration, Bongiovi wore a green suit and a relaxed white button-down while Brown looked every bit a bride-to-be in a two-piece white lace Giambattista Valli set featuring a crop top and delicate pencil skirt with gold button and lace trim details.


“Congrats to this beautiful couple,” Burkill captioned the photos on Instagram, also revealing that he used Foxy Locks tape-in hair extensions in the shade cocoa to fill out the actor’s loose waves, securing the final style with Got2b’s Glued Blasting Freeze Hairspray.


Millie Bobby Brown announced her engagement to Jake Bongiovi via Instagram on April 11, wearing another white lacy number. In the black-and-white photo, Bongiovi wraps his arms around the actor, who is laughing while showing off her stunning engagement ring (and chrome engagement manicure). She captioned the photo with the Taylor Swift lyrics “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all .”



At the time, Bongiovi shared two photos on his own Instagram feed with the caption, “Forever .”

The covers are good ones, her chronological age has finally caught up to a time when heavy makeup doesn't seem horrifically out of place on her but that hair is still too severe and looking at the inside editorial she's still being styled in a way that would be more appropriate for someone twice her age (and she looks uncomfortable in a lot of the shots, not the one in the tulle glove and fur though that one looks great)
