Ming Xi

Too bad she wasn't at Miu Miu. Her face would have been so great at both the same and Prada.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for a new Asian face as for Ming Xi. Her face is perfect for beauty campaigns yet carries so much versatility. I think she'll have a great future! I mean, how great does she look? ^_^

the prada obsession didnt seem to affect her trajectory.
i hope she leapfrogs over the whole "must walk for russell to make it" thinking!

She has a unique face, walks decently, and seems kinda versatile so I think she'll do fine even if she didnt manage to woo Russel Marsh this season (Russel has his eye on Fei Fei). But would she be a superstar after this first initial season, after the buzz created by her Givenchy exclusive wears off? That we don't know yet because Liu Wen, Tao and Shu Pei is still pretty hot as the go to asian face. Sadly, there's only so many space for an ethnic model in a show and now there are just more and more asian girls coming up. She needs at least one or two more seasons to get herself more refined.

My only wish for her is that this initial buzz, lands her some cool magazine eds to keep the interest afloat. It will be fun to watch how she'll do for SS2011.

good news, since the Supreme boys are now at Ford. we might be seeing a lot of her...

The Supreme team can really make a stellar high fashion career for a girl so I hope they can make Ming a star at Ford!

Interesting... A little confusing for me considering the whole situation, but good news anyway! ^_^

I have to admit that I'm usually not very easy into asian models and I haven't even noticed Ming among the EML girls but while browsing through this thread, looking at all her recent runway-appearances and amazing backstage close-ups :o I'm totally smitten! She has to be the most intriguing girl to me since Daul Kim (and I'm not comparing her with Kim here)

Her face is just so refined. Those big eyes and the razor sharp cheekbones together with her rather girly overal-appeal ... Defenitely following this thread now!

to be honest, i don't see anything special in her,
i prefer sun fei fei (or fei fei sun?) because mengyao is just traditionally asian looking to me

No doubt the beginning of great things - selected as one of Style.com's Top Ten Models of Fall 2010!

Riccardo Tisci can do great things for a girl. In this Shanghai native's case, an appearance at the Givenchy designer's January haute couture presentation led to bookings at no less than 17 shows in London before she took to the runway for Jil Sander, Christian Dior, and, yes, another go-round at Givenchy.
