YOU don't get to look this good by eating junk food, so it was no surprise to see Miranda Kerr lunching at an organic food cafe in Bondi Junction yesterday.
After a busy two months gallavanting around the world the New York-based model has been enjoying some much-needed downtime since arriving in town on Monday.

As well as catching up on some beauty treatments and shopping, she and her mum Therese enjoyed a quiet meal at Macro Wholefoods Market.

But it's now back to the grind, with the one-time Gunnedah girl busy shooting a Portmans TV commercial until she jets out again on Sunday.

But it's not all work. Kerr will also be the VIP guest at a Cleo mag cocktail party at Kings Cross nightspot Hugo's tomorrow night where - in the absence of muso boyfriend Jay Lyon - her mum will again be her date.

I’m back home to Australia soon!

Wow what a crazy week I had! Luckily to begin with I was based in New York which was great! I’ve recently discovered a new favourite restaurant (Pure Food and Wine on Irving and 17th street in NY) and I was literally eating there every chance I had. They have a wide range of organic raw food which not only tastes incredible it is extremely good for you too.
Unfortunately this peaceful existence is always short lived and so after a couple of quiet days in NY I flew out to London for a one day shoot with an English based client. This turned as to be a real blessing as I was able to catch up with some Aussie friends, who currently reside in London.
I had such as great night and it was great to catch up with some people I hadn’t seen in ages but it probably wasn’t the best preparation for a 7-am to Hawaii! The flight itself goes via Los Angles and by the time I arrived it was 11pm and I had to be at work the next morning at 5am!
After a whirlwind shoot I arrived back in NY early in the morning and went straight home to Frankie! I miss her so much when I am away! Fortunately I have a really good friend of mine who takes care of her when she’s unable to come with me.
Friday night I have a cocktail party for Vogue and Ralph Lauren and Saturday morning I’m coming back to the home land to shoot for Portmans!

I love getting back home and it will be great to see my family, even though I speak to mum and dad almost every day, I do miss them a lot which makes getting home all that more important.

While I am home I will also be doing my first Portmans Live Chat! This will take place on Wednesday the 12th of September at 4pm and I’m really excited about speaking to you all, so please jump online where I’ll be able answering all your questions!
