MIRANDA Kerr's family have scoffed at reports suggesting the Australian supermodel has split with Hollywood star Orlando Bloom, saying the star couple "have never been closer".
Currently residing at the New York home of the Victoria's Secret stunner, Kerr's younger brother Matthew and Mother Therese told Confidential they were "frustrated and upset" to read the fabricated report currently being splashed across celebrity gossip sites worldwide.
US magazine In Touch Weekly lead the charge, inaccurately reporting Kerr had broken up with Bloom and was in the throws of a rebound affair with oil fortune-heir Brandon Davis.
A "witness" told the magazine the two were seen "full on making out" at New York nightclub 10ak and then again at Beatrice Inn later that night.
But 22-year-old Matthew Kerr is in a solid position to denounce the rumours - he was with his famous sister when she was chatting to Davis at the venue.
"We were just out with a few other friends from Australia having a good time and we bumped into Brandon while we were at 10ak," Matthew said."They have been friends for a while and we just said hi, chatted for a bit and that was it," he said.
"There definitely wasn't any kissing - nothing could be further from the truth."
While admitting she was protective of her gorgeous daughter, Kerr's mother said she was disappointed by the false report.
"I realise there is an interest in people who are in the spotlight, but I just can't believe how far from the truth it gets.
"Miranda and Orlando have never been closer and are happier right now more so than ever.
"He's meeting her in Paris next week."
