i don't know if miranda is a 'green' person. i think she promotes organic eating, products etc for better health/beauty, but i don't think she is so much an environmentalist? besides, the fashion industry as a whole pollutes a lot (from the fabrication stage, to production, to shipping) so if qantas is bad for her image, so is her entire job.

Seeing as she was the global ambassador for earth hour last year, she sure does promote herself as such. From what I know, Qantas is environmentally conscious, as much as an airline can be anyway, and Miranda did say that they were in 'alignment' with her beliefs - not saying it's the main reason she accepted the job or anything.

didn't realise that, thanks. but still, i think clean eating etc for health and beauty purposes is MORE her thing. i also agree, its not the reason she took the job. the money and it being such an iconic aus symbol is more likely the reason. but i am sure the 'environmentally conscious airline' spin made it more easily justifiable.

either way i don't particularly care. we live in the 2000s and with her job it is not realistic that she not fly. people travel regularly (car, plane, boat). however, i would raise an eyebrow if she were flying private everywhere.

EDIT: i don't mean that i don't care about the environment haha. just that i don't see this as a conflict of interests, given that we live in the world we do, and she works in an industry that is so damaging to the environment.

She's a jet setting model who is constantly flying all over the world for shots and other events. How do you think that she gets to them? I think it'd be unrealistic of her to promote something she doesn't use.
