Missoni S/S 2025 Milan

The set was very embarrassing but the man is talented!
I didn’t expect to receive again another slap on the face from Missoni. This is not the house people expect statement and creativity from.
There’s a bit of Issey Miyake and Castelbajac but it’s executed with a lot of confidence!

I could have done without the all white section as white leggings are kinda tacky but the rest is impressive.

I go a lot in the Missoni website and it’s amazing.

I don’t know how much his ideas are supported and how Missoni is developing the distribution but I think if LVMH really wants PUCCI to work, should hire him!

Looks 7 and 35: pure love!

definitely got the plisse vibes too but he really adapted it to the missoni print and it all looks natural and not copied. the movement on the 3rd to the last dress was amazing, probably should have been the last look. i would only burn that overall with poofy pubic hair coat.

i love going in the missoni stores and finding beautiful clothes.

It's a bit silly sometimes but it's so fun that idec. Bravo again.

The headpiece reminds me of yorubá goddess Iemanjá. Something about the patterns are quite african too.

:clap::clap::clap: Bravo! Now THIS is rejuvenating! I had given up hope that this season would come and go without a single sensational moment and this assured at least 1!

I too wish they had cut the 3 all white looks, but otherwise fantastic!

WTF i don't like any of it looks like Paris Olympics fashion show in legoland

i lost respect for all of you in here loving it ........ lol i don't see it but it's ok exit left ......

i prefer new ALAIA then this 100000000000000x times

I dunno. I find it too literal. Like "Oh zigzags get it?!" Although it looks very well produced.
It’s very literal indeed but I think the race reviews, at least for me, has more to do with an expression of creativity unexpected from a brand like Missoni thank the quote on quote execution.
For me his FW2023 is his best collection but I have been impressed by what he has produced for Missoni.

They are a bit on opposite spectrum no?
That being said Fillipo Grazioli would be a better designer at Alaia than Pieter…
Missoni is not the easiest brand to handle and he is doing good. He has a sense of sensuality and he is good with knitwear.

im not sure how/why it should be compared to alaia... Its like comparing versace with the row.

For a long time i thought missoni would stay as a towel and swim suit/resort brand. But he has really played around with their signature prints so well that now they could offer believable fashion pieces again. And every season he has a new take on the print and you could tell he is having fun exploring the limits of the house. Maybe its the tisci influence on him but some of the looks here definitely reminds me of tiscis givenchy.

They have been opening new boutiques where i am so they must be doing well. I doubt he is going anywhere soon but i do wanna see what he could do at fendi and their furs.

Unexpected? Yes! Headache inducing? Yes too! It´s a strange mixture of Missoni with Issey Miyake and 80s Memphis Group.

Finally, Missoni found its mojo again. one of the best collections in Milan this season

The multi pleats 3d layers and graphic cold and empty artyness remind me of Pieters last 2 collection for ALAIA
But Fillipo better than Pieter ????!!!!!!no no no Pieter has at least pretense of some refinement in design or attempts of it.....this Missoni guy design´s are just child like.
Sorry i don't see any of the mentioned qualities for the brand Missoni or for any brand as a matter of fact.

Its ok really i don't like any of it Zero next show i will avoid open the threads its on my no need to see list now.

if you want me to except graphic, cold and empty artyness this is my limit of tolerance:

The issey pleats and flatness in 3d and pretentious emptiness of modernity that says nothing in design choices remind me of Peter Pan´s ALAIA.

As a brand no they are historically not similar besides their love & know how in knitwear they both share, but that was not my point.

If i dislike Pieter efforts so far, i rather have his ALAIA then this Missioni guy´s creative output was my point.

(Another side note: have you guys zoomed ? I see how bad the construction is on the garments, the color bands are just put on top and stitched at the garment seam seriously come on the intarsia are custo barcelona made in sweatshop vibes !!!!! i can go on and on but i wont its fine its not for me to like.)
