Miu Miu F/W 06 bags - Coffer et al

I love the beige/grey version in the picture with Charlotte. So chic. But suede seems so difficult to take care of and the leather version doesn't have the same oomph IMO. Might have to check it out at the Mui Mui store though.

It always makes me happy to see that a new bag has come along, it feels like its been awhile since there's been anything worth getting excited about

I love the 2nd to last prada, but not enough to pay $2500 for it. Miu Miu and Prada have gotten more expensive for fall.

I really like the beige or gray one also in that magazine picture. Or maybe even the white. Does anyone know if any place has that beige or gray color? I have only seen brown.

probably. Seriously, anyone in PR knows the power of publicity with giving celebs free stuff and getting them to wear it. I swear Gucci does it with their two most recent collections which haven't seen much critical claim but a lot of red carpet action.

Anyway, I really quite like this bag and also the long strap it comes with. However, the bottom bit reminds me a lot of the Fendi chef bags

at first i didnt like it in the photos, the bag by itself.
after i saw it in motion being carried then i started to like the shape.

I tried this bag out at saks last week. The bag looks much nicer IRL, even though I already loved it from the pics. They had the brown suede and the black leather versions. The leather on the black one is super soft, but scratches easily.

The clasp in the front is an issue, though. It is a bit difficult to close up with one hand. However, IMO, the opening of the bag is stiff enough and small enough that you could just leave it open most of the time.

I saw the prada one at prada boutique in Rome ,hmm I very like it but not sure if I like the price though. The ones in the 3th, 4th and the last pic. It's very nice IRL.

I wish I would have seen this thread before I made my last post in the Celebrities and their Handbags thread. I posted a link to the pic of Charlotte Casiraghi with hers and the runway detail shots, but someone already beat me to the punch here.

I love how Keira Knightley looks with her brown one. I confess, I don't like this bag much, but it suits Keira so well in those pics, and I can see why Charlotte likes her white one. It can go with a lot of things. But to me, I'm on the fence. It's iffy, I don't know why. Maybe it will grow on me.

Where can you buy the bag besides the Miu Miu or Prada stores? It's not that expensive, is it? Don't the Miu Miu bags run fairly low compared to other designer bags? $500-ish? They're not as pricey as the Prada bags, right?

You can get it from places like Neimans, Saks, Barneys, etc. The price for the leather one is a little less than $1500.

Oh haha! Yeah, I saw the pricing on earlier posts too late. But at forzieri.com there is a MiuMiu (not the coffer) for $450!! That must be because it's really old, though.

I believe that's from the Prada fall collection, not the Miu Miu, definitely not a balenciaga though. There are candids of Jennifer Gardner in her thread today carrying the same bag.
