Miu Miu F/W 06 bags - Coffer et al

Wow I'm surprised they have it at Evelyn Miles! The markup doesn't seem toooo bad. It's a bit strange though, I thought they had just received the Miu Miu Spring/Summer accessories in - like the canvas bag with leather trimming? Or are they having both S/S and F/W together?

I think this bag is divine. Personally, I love the black leather version. However, I wish they hadn't dolled it out to all those celebs though as without this "It" bag status it could have endure for longer. I am not into seasonal bags. I still love it though but am also slightly off-put by the scratchability of the ultra soft leather.

My bag arrived today - I love it especially the distressed leather trimmings. Am thinking this bag will age well and I dont think it will be that high maintenance.

Btw Drel did you spray anything on it to make it waterproof ?

No worries, klow! I did take the bag to the shoe repairer. He "covered" it with some sort of leather stain, but the colour doesn't match exactly.. But it's okay, it should "blend" in with time Thanks for telling me about it btw!!

I didn't know EM stock miu miu as well, I just passed by and happened to saw it after I got my bag fixed, so I went in to check out the price. I agree it's a nice bag, but I'm not so sure about maintenance for suede in the long run...

Princess Imp - found a site on how to care for suede

1) Waterproof it by spraying with protectorant
2) Brush it regularly with soft suede brush or terry cloth towel to raise the nap
3) Stains can be removed with a pencil eraser or emery board
4) If it gets spotted with water, allow it to dry and then brush with cloth towel or suede brush

I saw the blue on Saks.com when I ordered my brown one - but then, just a day later, it was gone so it must have sold out fast. Congrats on your suede! I have seen it IRL and it is gorgeous. IMO the suede is very casual whereas the leather can go more dressy. Both are very nice. Can't wait for my brown (I think they call the color "Noce") to arrive. I have also seen the black IRL and I didn't love it. For some reason, I'm not loving hardly any black bags these days although I do have a YSL Rive Gauche on order in black.

Is the blue one at Saks.com classified as "sigaro"? What is sigaro exactly?
I checked saks.com and only see two colors, brown and "sigaro," whatever that is.

I do have a YSL Rive Gauche on order in black.

Jan - I think the Rive Gauche looks fab. It looks so soft and slouchy and will be very versatile esp with the long strap. Wonder if the shorter straps go over the shoulders comfortably. Congrats on your coffer. Hope you love yours as I do mine.
