klow, yup, my bag is the same as kate's.. and saks.com looks like they've got both the smooth leather in brown and black as well as the suede one so i guess that's a yes to that question as well! oh and btw, klow, were you the one wondering about scratching the hardware? i took her out today and accidentally banged the front buckle pretty hard against a door frame (ahem, a few times.. oops ) and there's only one scratch on the buckle.. and not very noticeable at that

I love the brown suede one, but it rains all the time here, would be no use for winter in Scotland.

But the black leather one I like is sold out on Net-a-porter. Not sure where else to get it online in the UK...

babyb, i've got the suede and live in a desert and it's been ok for me so far.. but i used to live on the gulf coast (southern texas) and always found the humidity to be a problem with suede

Klow-chloe, I saw the bag at Evelyn Miles at MLC today. They had the suede and the black leather one, as well as the Scamosciato Matelasse Bag. Surprisingly the prices was quite reasonable. Suede one is AU $1798 (or 95? can't remember exactly) and the black leather one is $1998, basically $200 more expensive than the suede one. If you are to get it from NAP, I worked it out that it'll probably cost you around AU $1650 ish (depending on exchange rates)
